Elizabeth May Speirs and Larry Benjamin Pope III’s story began in the most unexpected and fitting place: the Wynlakes pool The two met while lifeguarding together and quickly became best friends, not realizing their summer job would turn into something so much more Ironically, their first real introduction happened while working a wedding in the Wynlakes ballroom. After their shift, Ben invited Elizabeth to Waffle House with friends, and from that night on, everything changed. Ben says he knew she was the one the moment he saw her. Elizabeth knew after their first date. They dated throughout their time at Auburn University, growing up side by side. Years later, Ben planned the sweetest surprise proposal in Orange Beach After dinner at Coastal Orange Beach, the couple took a sunset walk along the shoreline, where Ben got down on one knee

Choosing Wynlakes for their reception felt like the perfect full-circle moment “It was a dream of ours to have our reception here,” Elizabeth shared The timeless ballroom, beautiful atmosphere, and meaningful memories, paired with a soft blush pink and blue color palette, made it the ideal place to gather their family and friends She also praised the Wynlakes team, sharing how incredible the staff were throughout the entire celebration
Guests were welcomed into a seamless evening, beginning with cocktail hour featuring champagne towers and a lively bar before transitioning into a high-energy reception Inside the ballroom, a spacious dance floor, elevated DJ stage, and thoughtfully arranged tables created a warm and inviting setting
From poolside beginnings to a ballroom celebration, their wedding at Wynlakes was more than just a reception, it was a return to where their forever first began.

Melissa Tier Williams and Burt Myrick’s story began with a simple introduction from a mutual friend, but from the very beginning, their connection felt effortless One of their sweetest early memories came during a warm Sunday drive No air conditioning, Alabama heat, and every reason for the day to go wrong. Instead, they laughed, talked, and simply enjoyed being together. Later that evening, when dinner plans fell through, they chose to cook together instead. For Burt, that was when he knew she was the one
His proposal was just as memorable in its own unexpected way Originally planned as a grand jumbotron moment at a Montgomery Biscuits game, life had other plans On October 11, 2024, while waiting for Burt’s eye surgery he decided not to wait any longer and proposed right there in the waiting room What was meant to be a large, public moment became something far more intimate, surrounded by cheering nurses and staff who quickly became part of their story.
They chose to celebrate at Wynlakes, drawn to the classic charm and welcoming atmosphere. The couple exchanged vows before family and friends in a section of the Swan Ballroom, thoughtfully designed to create a warm, celebratory setting Cocktail hour featured a relaxed bar on the terrace alongside passed hors d’oeuvres, while the loggia hosted a beautifully arranged buffet A carefully curated menu added to the experience, while a lively dance floor kept the celebration going throughout the night
With every detail coming together seamlessly and the support of the Wynlakes team, their wedding day felt effortless and meaningful. From small, imperfect beginnings to an unforgettable celebration, their story is a beautiful reminder that the best moments are often the ones you never see coming

Some love stories unfold over time, and for Eleanor Kelsey Streeton (Ellie) & Jacob Hugh Wyrosdick (Jake), forever began with a friendship formed in the seventh grade. After meeting on a church mission trip, they quickly became best friends and remained close throughout high school before officially dating during their sophomore year at Auburn University Once they did, it did not take long to know it was forever. She was so certain Jake was the one that she wrote her vows two years before they were married Jake’s proposal was equally meaningful, taking place in one of the places they both hold dear: Auburn He surprised her on the rooftop of The Laurel Hotel overlooking Samford Hall, using a Sunday brunch as the perfect reason to get her there Although stormy weather had been forecasted that morning, the skies cleared just in time, creating a beautiful setting for such a memorable moment When it came time to choose a wedding venue, the choice was easy. Having grown up at Wynlakes, from tennis camp and swim team to family brunches and afternoons by the pool, she had always dreamed of one day being one of the brides overlooking the golf course
Following a ceremony at First Baptist, guests arrived at Wynlakes for an elegant and thoughtfully designed celebration. Cocktail hour in the loggia featured champagne walls, hors d’oeuvres, and sweeping views, while the ballroom welcomed guests for a lively reception complete with a full stage, draped band backdrop, and a packed dance floor With timeless spaces, beautiful golf course views, and the gracious support of the Wynlakes team, their wedding was a seamless and sentimental beginning to forever

Lindsey Nicole Pinkham and John Benjamin Bricken IV (Ben) first met in ninth grade at Trinity Presbyterian School, where she was the new girl and he had already been there since kindergarten What started as a friendship grew steadily, until one day, just after sophomore year, Ben asked her on a date, something Lindsey admits she never saw coming
At the time, she had always said she wouldn’t seriously date in high school, but Ben quickly became the exception What followed was not just a relationship, but a shared life that carried them through high school, Auburn University, and every in-between moment Looking back, Lindsey doesn’t point to one defining moment when she knew he was the one. Instead, it was the quiet consistency. The way he was always steady, always kind, always her safest place. By the time he proposed, it didn’t feel like a question. It felt like the natural next step in something that had been growing all along. Ben chose to propose at a family farm filled with memories from their early years. Under a willow tree beside the pond, he got down on one knee. It was simple, intentional, and exactly right. Soon after, their families and friends joined them, turning the moment into a celebration that felt just as meaningful as the proposal itself Wynlakes was chosen in much the same way, not out of convenience, but because it already held a place in their story From school dances to summers spent with friends, it had long been a backdrop to their lives For their wedding, it became something more: a place where everything came together Their reception reflected that same sense of intention Rather than feeling rushed or overly structured, the evening moved naturally from quiet moments shared together to a ballroom filled with energy, music, and celebration Every detail felt purposeful, but never forced, allowing the night to happen in a way that felt true to them

Stephanie and Melvin’s story started in a place that feels pretty fitting, the end zone at Alabama State University. Even though they both went to ASU and marched in the band, that was the moment their paths really crossed
Their first date made everything click, and not long after, Melvin asked Stephanie to be his girlfriend She said yes without hesitation From there, their relationship grew through all the little things and big moments, football games, concerts, museum days, and dinners together Before they knew it, three years had passed, and they had built something really solid, full of love, laughter, and a genuine connection Stephanie knew he was the one because of how he made her feel and because he reminded her of her dad, someone who means so much to her
The proposal was simple and meaningful

On July 29, what would have been her grandmother’s birthday, Melvin proposed at home It was a quiet moment that meant a lot, and it naturally led into wedding planning, where Stephanie’s mom played a big role in helping bring everything together
For their wedding day, they chose Wynlakes because of its beauty and classic feel. They had always pictured an outdoor ceremony, and the setting truly lived up to everything they hoped for. Stephanie said it exceeded every expectation and created the perfect backdrop for their day.
Their celebration felt like a true reflection of them. The blush pink and royal blue color palette set the tone, and the reception in the Swan Ballroom was full of energy One of the most memorable moments came when the ASU fight song played and guests joined in with shakers It was such a fun nod to where it all started and brought everyone together They also had a 360 photo booth, which added a fun, interactive touch and gave guests something to take away from the night
From start to finish, it was a day full of intentional moments, fun energy, and so much love It is one they and their guests will not forget

Some love stories are years in the making, and for Gracie Barranco & Stephen Sadie, it all began long before they ever started dating Growing up in Montgomery, their lives were always closely connected From the same church community to generations of family friendships, their paths naturally crossed time and time again. What started as a familiar presence eventually grew into something much deeper when they both found themselves at Auburn University Their friendship quickly turned into a relationship built on ease, laughter, and a deep understanding of one another
After three years together, Stephen proposed on Valentine’s Day along the beaches of Rosemary Beach, followed by a surprise celebration with their closest friends and family. This set the tone for what their wedding would become: a true celebration of love and togetherness With two large, close-knit families, creating a wedding that brought everyone together under one roof was incredibly important Choosing Wynlakes Golf & Country Club felt like the perfect fit, not only because of its significance in Gracie’s life, but because it created the ideal space for a celebration centered around family. Their reception was warm, lively, and full of personal touches that reflected both families Guests gathered to enjoy an Italian-style pasta dinner, followed by a spread of beloved family famous desserts that felt both meaningful and fun In the courtyard, a beautiful tented space created the perfect setting for guests to gather, complete with a full outdoor bar for everyone to enjoy Live music filled the air around the Swan Fountain, adding to the atmosphere, while a dedicated kids’ corner with a balloon artist brought so much joy to the younger guests, making sure every generation felt included in the celebration More than anything, their wedding was about being surrounded by the people who have shaped their lives Having everyone together in one place made the day feel incredibly special The day was a true reflection of where they came from and the life they are building together.

Gretchen Lee and Bryce Lancarte’s story began in the summer of 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas, shortly after Gretchen graduated from The University of Alabama and Bryce returned home from Texas Tech. Their connection was immediate, and from the start, their relationship felt easy, natural, and full of joy. Gretchen knew Bryce was the one after their very first date, simply because of how comfortable and understood he made her feel.
In 2024, Bryce proposed at the Fort Worth Water Gardens, surprising Gretchen with both of their families in town to celebrate. The day ended with champagne and a celebration at Joe T. Garcia’s, surrounded by loved ones.
Choosing Wynlakes for their wedding was an easy decision it was home. Raised in the Wynlakes community, Gretchen has spent a lifetime making memories at the Club. “When I was born, I was brought home to Wynlakes, and when I left for marriage, I left from Wynlakes,” she shared.
Following a beautiful church ceremony, guests gathered for a tented reception in the courtyard overlooking the 18th green, where sunset set the tone for an elegant, black-tie evening. With Southerninspired cuisine and thoughtful, personalized details, the celebration felt both elevated and meaningful. From a welcome dinner on the terrace to a joyful reception under the tent, the entire weekend was centered around bringing people together in a place that means so much to Gretchen and her family.
