know what’s even better than that… OUR TEAM! Over the past year, we have put a lot of emphasis on the development of our staff. I receive compliments on them daily and this is exactly what I like to hear. They are here to serve you. Now come out and let them do their jobs!

Secondly, we have some spectacular events coming in the near future that I hope you participate in. I attended a Club Managers Association seminar a couple of months ago and learned of a resource where we gained access to over 250 club newsletters across the country. Our staff have remarkable event ideas, however, by having access to other clubs activities this serves as an avenue for additional ideas. All that being said, please refer to our monthly newsletters this year, as well as eblast and social media posts, to see new activities for our members. One of our goals is to grab your attention and engage you and your family in club offerings.

Before getting into future events, I would like to highlight one of our most recent events honoring 105 of our 10th, 11th and 12th graders…THE SWAN BALL! What an astonishing evening it was. Most of these children/grandchildren grew up at Wynlakes. This was our 14th Annual Swan Ball. They were entertained by Trance Illumination (DJ) and most of the honorees, dates and friends enjoyed music until the end, which is a wonderful representation of them having a great time.

BACK PAIN BODYWORK & MASSAGE THERAPY

Next to the common cold, back pain is the most frequent complaint heard by doctors.

Massage kneads away tension in the muscles, as well as relieving discomfort in surrounding areas that are “guarding” in response to the pain. It increases circulation, allowing healing nutrients and oxygen into the tissue.

Don’t forget we have GIFT CARDS for birthdays and special occasions. Call Foad, today.

Dr. Dani,

When I approach the net, my opponent lobs me. I’m frustrated with this.

Sincerely,

Dear Lacey,

Your approach shot is critical to what happens next. If you constantly get lobbed when you come in to the net, try hitting low and short approach shots to eliminate or make the lob easy to put away. Any approach shots that are hit deep and a high arch over the net will mirror high deep lobs in return. Be proactive by eliminating the lob return and hit short low approaches and your results will be a put away.

Sincerely,

SUPERVIEWS

It’s that time of year again. Spring is on our doorsteps and the pine pollen is starting to fall. The days are starting to get longer and hopefully warmer weather will be here to stay. With saying that I’m sure we will have our pre-Easter cold snap. This is the time we need to start gearing up our landscapes for the growing season and we always start this time of year off with some spring pre emerge. You can go to your local feed store or anywhere fertilizer is sold and ask for spring pre emerge and they will get you what you need. I will also be discussing what we have been doing on the course. So why do we pre emerge? This is very important in maintaining a healthy lawn. No one wants to have stickers in their yards or the nuisance of unsightly weeds. It’s not just for aesthetic reasons we pre emerge. It helps with over all health of

your lawn. When there is no presence of weeds then there is no competition for your desired turf when it comes to the nutrients we put out with our fertilizers later in the spring. The way pre emerge works is that it takes a low concentration of herbicide and creates a barrier on the soil surface. Now when weed seeds germinate and begin to sprout it will come in contact with the herbicide and the plant dies before it even breaks the surface of the soil. This will reduce the amount of post emergent herbicides you will need. Post emergent herbicides have a much higher concentration of chemicals which are more detrimental to the desired plants you have and can cause injury to the plants.

We have completed our tree limbing this winter and you can see the difference. This will help not only

$950 per team

All registration will be done online using the registration link on our website.

Registration opens on March 15th @ 7:30am. This event sold out in 2 days last year so don’t wait to sign up!!

golf but we will be able to grow better turf around theses areas also. We are working on some drainage projects also. #10 and #11 have been the biggest areas of concern for us. We have completed our pre emegre on the course and clubhouse grounds also.

Not only will pre emerging your yard give you a healthier more aesthetically pleasing yard, it will save you time and money in the long run. Hopefully this was informative to when and why we do this cultural practice. Because at the end of the day no one wants stickers in their feet and unsightly weeds in their landscapes.
