PREPARINGYOUR YARDFORTHEWINTER
Preparing your yard for the winter is essential in Colorado. It ensures that your yard and garden come back in the spring. Autumn is the perfect timetotakestockofyouryardandprepareitfor the colder months ahead. Here are some things you should do to prepare your hard for the winter:
Aerate Your Lawn - this allows water and nutrients to penetrate the soil, promoting root growthandahealthierlawn.
Fertilize Your Lawn - doing so will ensure your lawnreceivesthenutrientsitneedstosurvivethe wintermonths.
MowYourLawn-dothisbeforethefirstfrosthits. Itissuggestedtomownolowerthan2"inheight.
BlowOutSprinklerSystem-this prevents water from freezing in the system and causing damage.
Wrap Tree Trunks - trees with 6" or less trunk diameter or a smooth thin bark, should be wrapped over the winter and removed by the endofApril.
Protect Plants with Mulch - to retain moisture andinsulaterootsduringthecoldmonths

If you visited the pool over the summer and think you may have left something behind, you have a chance to retrieve your items on October 7 from 8:30am-11:30 am at the Clubhouse.
Please note, any items that are not claimed by the event will be donated.
Barking Dogs
Excessive barking from dogs can be a nuisance, especially since we live in close quarters. It is important to be respectful of others and try to keep your dogs from barking excessively. Bring your furry friend inside and be aware of the times of day when your dogs are outside.
If you are concerned about a dog near you, try to reach out directly to your neighbor and approach the situation respectfully and calmly. If the issues persist or you do not feel comfortable contacting your neighbor, you can reach out directly to FPD Animal Control for additional assistance.
Town Hall
Our Town Hall Meeting is great opportunity for homeowners to discuss concerns or ideas with the HOA Board. The meeting will be held on Monday October 9 at 7pm.
The purpose of the Town Hall is to provide an open forum for homeowners to bring up any information or issues they may have about the community. This is also a chance for the Board to listen to concerns and take appropriate action It’s a continued step towards transparency and communication between the community and the board. We hope to see you there!

Overthepastfewmonths,theHOABoardhasbeenworking closelywithourlandscapingcontractor;walkingthroughthe neighborhoodwiththem,tocheckworkand areasthatcoulduse improvement.
Ournativegrassareashavebeenoneofthebiggestissuesto maintainthisyear.Itwasbroughttoourattention,thatdebris, suchastrash,largerocksandothernon-nativematerials,have beendumpedintothenativegrassareas,makingitdifficultto properlymaintaintheseareas.TheNativeGrassareasarenota dumpingsiteandshouldnotbeusedassuch.Weaskthat residentspleaseproperlydisposeoftheiritemsthecorrectway.If aresidentiscaughtdisposinganythingintothefield,proper actionswillbetaken.
