A couple of years ago he met Althea and they were married. She joined Wycliffe and together they are now ready to begin linguistic training. Soon they will be heading to a field allocation to begin Bible translation work. Please pray for them as they head back to school and consider where to serve.

Bible translation hits a new low!!!
Moody Bible Institute’s Mission Conference
In 1999, there were 2,843 languages needing Bible translation work. Wycliffe was beginning 25 new Bible translation starts per year. At that pace, it would have taken until the year 2150 to begin every Bible translation project. God had another plan!!! Since then, 592 new Bible translation projects have been started or an average of 74 new starts a year!!! So, today we have hit an all time low on languages needing Bible translations. Join us in praying now for the remaining 2,251 languages. We are now on a pace to begin all translation work by the year 2038!!! Our goal though remains, “Every language by 2025.”
Wycliffe President, Bob Creson at the Moody Mission Conference
One of Chuck’s projects this past quarter was to help organize a trip to Chicago, IL for the Wycliffe president, Bob Creson. One of the visits Chuck and his team arranged was for Bob to speak at the annual Moody Mission Conference where we were able to honor Moody for their outstanding contribution to Bible translation work. Their school has over 80 students taking Bible translation courses. New Bible Translators Are Ready To Go! What a joy it was for Chuck last month to get a call from one of his recruits to come to his Wycliffe commissioning service in Virginia. Jonathan & Althea Byler are new Wycliffe members heading into Bible translation work. We met Jonathan several years ago when he was a student at Moody Bible Institute. Over the past few years we have encouraged, helped and prayed with and for Jonathan as he considered joining Wycliffe.
