MICHEALS’ MEMOIRS April 2017 Update
Dear Friends and Family,
Since December 2016, life has been pretty busy for us. Many of you know it started with an unexpected trip in December. Our daughter-in-law, Suzanne Micheals’ father, Charles Morton, passed away. What was expected to be a surgery to extend his life, in God’s Providence, instead resulted in his eternal rest. Chuck was asked to conduct the funeral so that took us to Dallas, TX where we spent time with the family. Barb, Isaac, Ambrose, Suzanne and Chuck in Dallas, Texas
Recruitment Work Expands After we came back from Dallas at the beginning of the year, Chuck welcomed a new couple to his Wycliffe recruitment team. For the past few years, Chuck has been working by himself in recruiting managers, professionals (CPAs, teachers, etc.) and people with trade backgrounds. As this has grown, he began to look for team members living on the west coast since many of his contacts come from that area. Often times this meant late night calls for him since we live on the east coast. After working all day from our home where we work for Wycliffe, calls would often stretch into ones that lasted until 10:00 pm. Suzanne, Barb, Ambrose and Isaac in Dallas, Texas
While there was sorrow, there was also joy as we were able to recount God’s faithfulness to Charles. An additional joy was that we were able to see our son Isaac, his wife Suzanne and our newest grandchild, Ambrose Charles.
To Chuck’s delight, a couple (Chris and Rosita Lou) on the west coast who had been doing campus recruitment were looking to retool and use their experience in the type of recruitment work Chuck was doing. Since January Chuck has been helping them get set to and trained to do work with a new group of people. That includes getting used to
