We want to give you a year ending ministry update and express our thanks to each of you who have stood with us these past 12 months with your encouragement, prayers and finances. Successful Recruitment Fiscal Year Wraps Up Psalm 115:1, “Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!”
Wycliffe Bible Translators’ Translation Milestone Reached A huge mile-stone was reached in our work. In August, Wycliffe Bible Translators completed their 1,000th New Testament! It took 44 years for Wycliffe to complete the first 100 New Testaments, but it only took 40 years to finish another 900 New Testaments!
We thank the Lord for providing another fruitful year of recruitment. This year Chuck’s team saw 24 people join Wycliffe. This was a combined effort of Chuck and the two Wycliffe recruiters who work with him. This was a 30% increase from the previous year. Plus we end the year with an additional 5 people still in application. Barb too saw a good number of people who she processed as Interns this past year and it is so exciting to see those who have gone on internships move on to full membership. Praise the Lord for those who said yes to going!

Our two adult children and their spouses (Isaac & Suzanne and Maria & Josh Mishler) and children are now back overseas in their assignment with Wycliffe. Their adjustment has gone well, but on the Mishler’s way back to Europe there was a security breach at an airport in Germany which caused them to wait 9 hours in a line to rebook their flight, only to be told they had to come back the next day!!! They eventually did make it back to their home, minus the luggage, which showed up several days later. Thank the Lord for their safety!
Progress is-being-made on our reaching the 100% support level Wycliffe expects us to be at. Some time ago, we were at an 82% level in our monthly support and getting close to being asked to step aside from our work if we reached a 80% level. We asked you to pray and we now thank you for those prayers. We are happy to say we are now at a 90% level. A number of new partners have
come onboard and pledged support. Friends have also spoken up on our behalf, which has helped new people hear of our need. Thanks for this partnership in the Gospel! We do ask that you continue to pray that we will reach 100% support by December. We have not been at this level for almost two years now and we would really like to see that goal reached.
