FIELD TRIPS We love experiential learning! All grades experience field trips throughout the school year. Parents sign a "walking field trip" permission form for trips within walking distance of the school.

The school fee charged at the beginning of the year covers field trips during the year.

SCHOOL DAY COMMUNICATION For the 2022-23 school year, we will use a new app for reporting absences and changes in dismissals. SCHOOL PASS is the new system. More information will be shared when it is ready to launch.

SCHOOL INFORMATION CARLINE MORNING CARLINE: 8:15 - 8:35 AM

AFTERNOON CARLINE: 3:30PM

Enter on Broadway Avenue South and follow Rice Street East to the parking lot. Cones/chains will be up until last PE class or outside time is done. First person in carline can remove cones/chains and pull up to the basketball hoop. Students will be lined up on sidewalk and once carline moves through and stops, they will get into cars.

KEEP STUDENTS SAFE IN CARLINE -NO CELLPHONE USE WHILE DRIVING -DRIVE SLOWLY -DO NOT DRIVE OUT OF LINE -DO NOT DRIVE AROUND OTHER CARS -NO PARKING THEN WALKING THROUGH CARLINE

BUSING Students who live in the Wayzata School District can ride the bus.

Bus transfers at Wayzata High School in the AM and Middle School in the PM. Teachers ride buses with students the first week of school to help students learn to transfer.

LATE ARRIVALS & EARLY DISMISSALS

Parents may enter on the Rice Street side of the building via Door #6 to bring students in who are late or picking up early to have them signed in at the School Office.

CLUBHOUSE & EXTRACURRICULARS Clubhouse is open 7:00-8:15 AM and 3:30-6:00 PM. Students play games, color, do homework, read, have snack and outdoor time.

After School Activities include Run Club, Activity Club, Chess Club, and STEM Club.

Signups for Clubhouse and After School Activities will come out in early August. We try to accommodate all families interested. These are fee-based programs.

Extracurriculars include Band (during school day), Girls Volleyball and Boys & Girls Basketball.

START OF YEAR EVENTS BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT: AUGUST 31 5:00-7:00PM Meet teachers, see classrooms, drop off supplies, shop used uniforms, volunteer information, see friends and socialize!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL COFFEE: SEPTEMBER 6 Coffee right after morning drop off in the Gym at 8:30AM.

START OF SCHOOL YEAR MASS: SEPTEMBER 7

Children's Mass is every Wednesday at 9:00am (unless a Holy Day falls during the week). Join us for this first Mass to pray for a blessed school year.

SPIRITWEAR DAYS: SEPTEMBER 9 AND BEYOND First Friday of the month is spiritwear day!

JAMES J HILL DAYS PARADE: SEPTEMBER 11

The parade is at 3:00pm on Sunday. Come and cheer on the St. Bart's Bulldogs Float.

THE GATHERING: SEPTEMBER 16 5:00-10:00PM

Carnival games, prizes, food, dancing and socializing in the school/church parking lot. A wonderful way to connect with families to start the year.

SCHOOL PICTURE DAYS

We use Lifetouch for our school pictures. Individual pictures may be out of uniform. Class pictures will be in Mass uniform.

FALL BOOK FAIR

We will host a fall book fair in the school library in October - dates TBD.

PROJECT KINDNESS - THE RAKE-A-THON

PTO's largest fundraiser of the year and our October service project. We rake yards for our community in the morning on Friday, October 28.

EVENTS & FUNDRAISERS GOLF TOURNAMENT: JUNE 20, 2022

Annual Fundraiser for St. Bart's School Tuition Assistance Fund Families participate by golfing, tee sponsorship, event sponsorship and/or inviting family and friends to participate

THE GATHERING: SEPTEMBER 16, 2022

Fun event for the whole family and excellent community building Tickets are $1 each for games, food and beverages ASK: Donations of gently used stuffed animals, bottles of soda, volunteer time

PROJECT KINDNESS & RAKE-A-THON

Project Kindness is service learning for students with a service project each month Month of October is the Rake-a-thon on October 28, 2022, which is also PTO's largest fundraiser. Students ask families and friends to pledge an amount for them to rake yards around our school.

ASK: Suggested average donation/funds raised per family is $300 for Rake-a-thon Throughout the school year, there will be other service projects that may ask for donations of items such as food shelf donations.

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM: DECEMBER 15, 2022

Preschool and Grade K-6 perform on a wonderful Christmas play for all to enjoy

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK: JANUARY 29 - FEBRUARY 4, 2023 We kick the week off with a Pancake Breakfast and a Sock Toss Themed dress up days and special activities tied to our Catholic faith Family fun night and tons of FUN ASK: Volunteer for Pancake Breakfast and new socks for Sock Toss

ANNUAL FUND: DATE TBD - TYPICALLY IN SPRING OF 2023

The Annual Fund is a night out with current St. Bart's School Parents, Alumni and Parishioners Donations to the Annual Fund help bridge the gap between tuition and the cost to educate each child Contributions support the school operating budget: staff salaries and technology as example ASK: Suggested family contribution of $500 or whatever you are called to give

ST. BART'S SCHOOL GRAND DAY: MAY 10, 2023

Grandparents or Special Friends join students for Mass, reception, classroom visits and Spring Book Fair

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL MASS: JUNE 8, 2023

The last day of school Mass will be on Thursday, June 8 at 2:00pm

GET INVOLVED! VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

In order to volunteer at St. Bart's, you need to complete the following requirements. Once you complete all 4 requirements, you are set for three years. Please complete these requirements prior to the start of the school year so you can say "YES" to the many ways of volunteering at our school. Background checks can take 2 to 3 weeks. You cannot volunteer until background checks are returned.

PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION - PTO

St. Bart's PTO is very important to our school. They provide essential fundraising, volunteer support and FUN. There are many ways to get involved throughout the school year. SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL - SAC

The School Advisory Board provides leadership and service in all matters pertaining to St. Bartholomew Catholic School. Its purpose is to minister to, and develop the educational faith community of students, staff, and families centered on the teachings of Christ and the Catholic Church. We are a policy-making and support committee working with this end in mind.

Board members are selected through a discernment process or by appointment. Members serve three-year terms and act as representatives of the school community and as liaisons to various sub-committees that directly interact with St. Bartholomew Catholic School.

The School Advisory Board meets monthly, August through June. If you are interested in more information about SAC, please email nblackwell@st-barts.org.
