All our bags and plastic packaging contain a minimum of 30% recycled content, with the majority being fully recyclable.

All prepack bags are identified with the industry recognised LDPE4 recycling logo to promote and make customers aware that bags can be recycled at specialist recycling centres/supermarkets.

Our team is working to replace traditional printed material with innovative digital solutions throughout our administration processes, currently we are 90% paperless. Our customer invoicing and statements are 100% paperless.

Digital Shift

A new digital Till Book is available to assist cashiers, displaying single RRP’s and multi-buy promotions for all our products. This new digital version is dynamic so lists each customers’ specific product range, in one concise easy to use document.

Resource Hub

A new resource hub has been developed which contains lifestyle photography, wet and dry product images and bag images to assist customers with their e-commerce or printed media. Inspirational merchandising tips and guidelines are also included, along with product barcodes and patio laying guides.

Our environmental policy dictates that we only supply ethically sourced materials from sustainable deposits, being operated within current legislative and ecological parameters. We also undertake to source recycled products or industrial bi-products for relevant applications where possible.

Our plastic, paper, cardboard and polypropylene bags from our processes throughout all our sites are recycled by a registered Waste Carrier company.

Point of Sale

The medium we use to print all our Point of Sale is 100% recyclable. The cellular design is also more robust and durable than Correx, yet more flexible than Foamex so less breakages occur meaning fewer replacements are needed. This makes our medium the most sustainable available.

Washing Facilities

All the water used for the washing of our premium products is 100% recycled.

Lighting

All our production sites operate entirely with LED low voltage lighting.

Merchandising

All timber utilised throughout our merchandising is sourced from an FSC - Forest Stewardship Council registered company.

Electric Cars

Our company car fleet is comprised of 2/3rds electric vehicles, with electric charging points installed at our sites.

Our merchandising has been designed to provide maximum impact with strong product imagery that features multiple products to promote cross sales and up-selling opportunities.

Aggregate display frames are supplied on tantalised timber and provide great versatility, displaying either two aggregate pallets or three paving pallets. All product POS is printed on fully recyclable material, providing increased durability, a longer lifespan and a more professional print quality.

A singular linear product run can be used to display both paving and aggregates directly against walls, fences/hedges or buildings. Ideal for obscuring unsightly structures or where space is limited.

A “walk-around” island display enables stock to be positioned in a more structured format, for ease of purchase. Aisle runs are suited to both our paving and aggregate collections and are particularly effective for creating “key product hotspots” on the end of each aisle.

We provide a multitude of product display gardens for both our paving and aggregate collections, in various sizes spanning either a 2.4m end of aisle run to a smaller 1m pop up display. These 2.4m vinyl’s can be category based to signpost each of our product collections, or themed vinyls to inspire shoppers to buy a selection of products suitable for a specific design project.

With a multitude of product display options, retailers have benefited by as much as 27% increases in sales where these displays have been installed.

2.4m category vinyls

These category display gardens take up the same amount of space as two aggregate pallets. These are available for all product categories and are a great way to signpost customers to each specific product range. Smaller 1.2m category gardens are also available for smaller centres.

These themed display gardens enable retailers to get creative and build displays that are specific to their stock profile. Complementing products across multiple categories can be used to encourage greater basket spend.

Meadow View Stone recognises the need to have a consistent and secure supply chain of key products within its offering, which is why we have recently acquired a Plum Slate Quarry.

Our Moel Tryfan Quarry is located on the eastern slopes of a small mountain range, approx. 1,100 feet (340m) high, in northern Gwynedd.

This 15-hectare quarry is now in full production with significant infrastructure in place to produce large volumes of the 20mm & 40mm Plum Slate chippings and rockery stone.

Securing supply of these bestselling product lines for the next 25 years.

SLATE RANGE

Each year we supply over 50,000 tonnes of premium Welsh slate into the UK decorative aggregate sector. A significant proportion of this will now be supplied from our own quarry at Moel Tryfan.

DECORATIVE AGGREGATE COLLECTIONS

Each pre-pack pallet or bulk bag equates to one full pallet with a minimum order requirement of 5 pallets, e.g. 2 x rockery and 2 x pallets of slate and 1 x bulk bag of decorative chippings would meet the 5 tonne pallet requirement.

PAVING COLLECTION

Most products are packed at 500kg per pallet, therefore 2 pallets of paving equate to 1 pallet of aggregates, e.g. 10 pallets of paving make up the 5 tonne pallet requirement. A mix of any of the above, e.g. 3 pallets of aggregates and 4 pallets of paving make up the 5 tonne minimum pallet requirement.

For customers who are not able to reach the above minimum order requirements we can despatch on a palletised carrier network, for which a small additional surcharge for delivery will be applied.

HOME DELIVERY

VEHICLES SIZE AND ACCESS

Please check that your customer has sufficient access to accommodate this size of vehicle (18 Tonnes) at their chosen point of delivery. The vehicle will require a minimum opening width of 3m to access the chosen delivery address. If your access cannot accommodate vehicles of this size it may result in failure to deliver, or the goods will then be delivered to the nearest kerbside at the discretion of the driver. Smaller vehicles are of limited availability and requests for these may delay delivery by up to two working days.

ROUTE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS PROPERTY

Please make sure that the route to the chosen delivery address is free from low hanging branches or obstacles, including cars, which may cause damage or obstruct delivery.

OFFLOADING

The driver will unload using a tail-lift and manual pump truck which can only be used on:

• Solid Hard Surfaces

• Surfaces Free From Gravel or Grass

• Flat & Level Ground With NO Inclines/Declines

RECEIPT OF GOODS

Please make sure that your customer is available to receive the order and sign for the material, or has made prior arrangements for a third party to do so on their behalf.

The following delivery criteria, needs to be assessed and agreed with your customer to ensure a smooth delivery is achieved. Failure to comply with these factors may delay receipt of the order, and may incur additional costs for failed or re-deliveries.

We can accommodate some customer’s specific delivery restrictions and would be happy to discuss these to try and accommodate delivery – please discuss with a member of our sales team.

Please note that the delivery will not be on a Hiab vehicle, so the goods will not be craned off.

We practise a policy of continuous improvement across our entire product range and material sourcing activity. While the product details contained within this guide were accurate at the time of print, we reserve the right to alter specifications or withdraw products from sale, without prior notice.

All products shown in this sales brochure are supplied subject to Meadow View Stone’s terms and conditions of sale. All our aggregate products are naturally sourced and maybe subject to changes in their appearance, colour and size. Colour swatches are for reference only. We recommend viewing samples to ensure a fair representation of your chosen products.

Many of our aggregate products have been mechanically screened through meshes to define the material size specified. While screening offers a more consistent sized product, it cannot eradicate material particles that exceed the defined size(s) in one dimension. All material grading sizes and size ranges are for guidance only.

Boulder & Rockery products purchased from our sources are based on an overall crate weight. Despite close attention to this within our quality systems, piece sizes and numbers per crates can vary. Quantities quoted should be considered as an average across a number of packs and pieces. All quarried materials can be subject to varying contaminates. Every effort is made to minimise this with suppliers. Naturally occurring Iron Oxide/ Silicate and other metallic elements are impossible to eradicate fully. Such contaminates can result in staining. Meadow View Stone cannot be held liable for this natural occurrence either pre or post installation.

Our range of decorative aggregates are supplied in premium quality, bright and attractive pre-pack bags, with clearly legible fonts in a highly transparent film which gives product clarity and showcases the cleanliness of our products. PAVING

All our Paving products are UK sourced and maybe subject to minor colour variations due to batch variations. Product pictures have been supplied for reference only. We recommend viewing samples to ensure a fair representation of your chosen products.

All concrete paving products can be subject to a visual change of appearance once installed. Many concerns simply weather away in the early life of the paving/product. If issues are prolonged please don’t hesitate to contact our customer service team on 01948 841 607.

All paving and garden areas should be subjected to periodic cleaning and maintenance. The frequency of this will depend upon the surrounding environment. Meadow View Stone cannot be held liable for the effect of detritus upon any installed area.

DELIVERY HANDLING AND STORAGE

The responsibility of the product and packaging transfers to the customer once it is removed from the delivery vehicle and has been signed for.

For all product handling and storage we recommend that a comprehensive risk assessment and method statements are produced to ensure safe, sustainable and legal working practises at all times. This should include a full assessment of the ground conditions for safe stacking.
