DESIGNATIONS WWS

GrazingPRO® sires improve the profitability of grass-based production systems by transmitting greater longevity, improved mobility, moderate stature, greater component yields and superior production - all while not compromising Daughter Pregnancy Rate (DPR) and Somatic Cell Score (SCS).

GForce™ indicates sires with elite genetic evaluations based on a combination of traditional pedigree data and genomic data, but does not contain actual daughter data. This combination of data increases the reliability of a young sire’s genetic prediction prior to the availability of actual daughter data.

The GForce+™ lineup includes genomic young sires with selection on rigid semen quality standards and their high-ranking Sire Conception Rate (SCR) from progeny test semen usage. GForce+ sires must have outstanding genetic merit, a highly reliable sire stack and actual calving ease observations.

gender SELECTED™ This icon identifies sires with sex-sorted semen available. More heifers is not out of reach with our research-backed genderSELECTED sires. All genderSELECTED semen is processed using Ultraplus technology.

gender SELECTED 4M™ Look for the genderSELECTED 4M icon to identify sires with sex-sorted semen available in 4 million sperm doses. All genderSELECTED semen is processed using Ultraplus technology.

Elite Sexed Fertility™ The Elite Sexed Fertility icon designates sires that can help you achieve the highest sex-sorted semen conception rates, enhancing your return on investment! This innovative designation distinguishes our highest performing sires for sex-sorted semen in both 2M and 4M products.

RobotPRO® sires transmit the desired traits for robotic milking systems. These sires were selected by focusing on component and milk yield, milk quality, udder health as well as functional udder traits. Use these sires to create the next generation of profitable cows for your specific milking system.

®

Mastitis ResistantPRO® Sires which excel in multiple indicators of mastitis resistance are more likely to deliver genetic improvement. Mastitis ResistantPRO™ uses a combination of CDCB Mastitis Resistance, CDCB Somatic Cell Score (SCS) and Zoetis Mastitis Resistance.

FeedPRO® optimises the selection for increased production and moderate body size while maintaining body condition score & daughter fertility. This revolutionary index designates sires with the genetics to improve income over feed costs & maintain health and reproductive traits.

The FertilityPRO® designation identifies sires with semen that will likely improve pregnancy rates. This designation is assigned by examining industry service Sire Conception Rate (SCR) values, along with intensive in-house semen quality evaluations.

If you want the most reliable sires available for your breeding programme, look for the Progeny Proven icon. This lineup designates sires with an evaluation based on both genomic data and actual daughter performance data.

The goal of Select Sires’ NxGEN® program is to provide genetic advantages to dairy producers who are looking for next-level genetic gains. By joining and accepting the terms and conditions of the NxGEN program, members will have earlier access to our most elite genetics, which are widely respected in today’s genomic world, and the ability to capture breed-leading genetic trends like never before.

Calving Ease Sires that can be used with confidence for easier calvings, the lower the calving ease score the easier the expected calvings.

Sires earn the SHOWCASE™ designation through outstanding breed-leading Type or show-winning pedigrees. Turn to this designation to produce your next show winner or improve the overall type in your herd.

ComponentMAXX Sires are selected to maximise total milk solids and concentration of butterfat and protein percentages.

GBG Bulls that appear with the GBG logo, and that bulls current BPI, meet strict reliability levels and are considered by DataGene to be amongst the best in the breed. These bulls will also appear in searches on the GBG App.

IMPROVE PROFITABILITY

Increase the lifetime solids and value of milk produced with emphasis on economically important traits that are scientifically linked to longevity.

EMBRACE TECHNOLOGY

The ability to use female genomic data in the mating process and rank the herd on these evaluations allows producers to embrace new commercial technologies and incorporate them into the breeding program.

MANAGE RISK

Manage inbreeding one of the largest “hidden” costs in dairying, with up to 10 generations of pedigree analysis. With the discovery of new genetic haplotypes and recessives, the ability of the WMS system to avoid carrier matings is critical to animal health and farm profitability.

“ REAL is a great summary of our partnership with World Wide Sires and the WMS breeding program.

We appreciate our Genetics Advisor for her willingness to listen to our needs and goals. Alongside us she strives to find solutions to achieve these goals and more with a very transparent approach. By coming to actually assess the cows there is “real” information and actual performance that is incorporated into our breeding program. It is a very two-way continual learning relationship we highly value and have been part of for the last 13 years.

Our heifers have become more consistent and predictable, giving us the ability to push for “invisible“ traits without compromise. Semen fertility and cow conception rate are two very important factors we look for. Focus on these has enabled us to dramatically shorten our joining period while continuing to hold conception rates and replacement numbers.

Sustainability and attention to detail is paramount to our business, especially with four children who all help tirelessly on the farm. From choosing sires to rearing calves, to milking healthy and productive cows we strive to excel in every area to efficiently have a work/life balance. We enjoy setting these goals and achieving high standards using WMS where being fussy is not a negative trait! “

MAKE THE BEST USE OF YOUR TIME

Genetic information changes rapidly, making it difficult to remain up to date on proof data and pedigrees.Experienced WMS consultants are committed to developing an accurate genetic plan for your dairy, so you can focus on other aspects of your business.

MAXIMISE YOUR GENETIC INVESTMENT

Customized indexes and sire selection tools tailored to assist the farmer to identify the bulls best suited for the herd, and ensure the semen is used to maximise genetic progress.

HERDMAXX

The HerdMaxx option of WMS allows mating decisions to be made using pedigree-focused technology. HerdMaxx enhances the mating process for commercial herds focused on limiting inbreeding and recessive traits.

Working with WWS Advisors has certainly helped with correction of traits. The two main ones we started with were Mastitis and Feet & Legs, and we have seen a lot of improvement in these areas.

The cows have to do a fair bit of walking, and we are seeing a lot less lameness. Working with WWS has been very good and they have some bulls that are working very, very well in the herd.

A missed heat is a missed cycle of income. How much are your heats costing you? 35%

Farms using CowManager have seen pregnancy rates lift from 22% to 35%, with at risk cows identified up to 50 days before calving.

CowManager monitors each cow continuously, flagging heats based on her individual activity baseline. Your team knows which cow is in heat and exactly when to mate her.

ü Offspring will be robot-reliable

ü Geared toward critical robot management factors

ü Formulated with an emphasis on health and wellness

ü RobotPRO assures correct Rear Teat Placement and Teat Length for your robots.

We installed Lely robots and we have had to change our breeding program considerably. We needed to improve traits such as teat length and teat placement to allow the robots to attach correctly and have used the WWS herd evaluation program with full confidence to do so.

Understanding what our business requirements are, we have found that the WWS team are working with us in a hands-on approach towards this common goal. Through our own custom index within the WWS herd evaluation program we have been able to refine our selection process considerably. Now allowing us to breed the most appropriate cow for our system and be confident we will be able to meet these challenges ahead of us through their team of sires.

Since partnering with the WWS Global Dairy Solutions team, we’ve gained invaluable access to the latest dairy technology skills, cutting-edge innovations, and best practices used in high-production systems.

The team has been highly supportive professionals, offering reassurance on our animal welfare practices while recommending small yet impactful adjustments that have significantly improved our welfare systems.

This collaboration has led to improved outcomes in our non-cycling program, reducing the number of carryover cows, and optimizing our vaccination program to lower disease incidence and minimize milk production losses during vaccinations.
