Table of Contents Accessing MyWindward To Access MyWindward from a desktop computer Step 1: From the homepage at www.windwardschool.org , log in by clicking “Login” in the upper right corner.

Step 2: A box will appear prompting you for your username and password: *Temporary passwords are the same for all Windward parents – if you are logging in for the first time, follow the guidelines below:

Username: firstnamelastname

(e.g. susansmith) Temporary Password: windward Step 3: For first time users: After logging in correctly for the first time, you will immediately be prompted to create a new, permanent password that you’ll use for all future visits to the site. It will be case-sensitive.

Step 3: For returning users: If you forget your username or password, click Create/Reset Password and it will be sent to you at the email you provide.

Tour/Resource Boards Optional Guided Tour Upon logging in for the first time, you will be greeted by an optional guided tour. You may follow the tour if you’d like, or dismiss the tour option and come back to it at any time by clicking on your name in upper right hand corner of portal and selecting “Getting Started.”

Viewing the Resource Board You will then be taken to your Resource Board. Your Resource Board has all of the school resources you will need for the 20152016 school year. Please note: more icons will become available throughout the year as resources are added. If you have suggestions for the Resource Board, please contact communications@windwardschool.org.

Parent Emails Weekly Newsletters and Parent Emails Once school begins, Windward parents will receive the important Windward Weekly Parent Newsletter electronic email every Friday morning. The newsletter includes the next week’s events, downloads, and other important information.

If you are not receiving the weekly newsletter, 1) we do not have your current email address, or more likely, 2) your email’s spam filter is blocking emails from Windward; depending on your email provider, please be sure you can receive emails from windwardschool@pushpage.org. If you are not receiving the newsletter, please email communications@windwardschool.org.

Also, on your Resource Board, you can find a copy of the week’s parent newsletter under Weekly Newsletter Archive and find additional archived emails under Parent Email Archive.

Accessing the Directory Accessing the Directory Step 1: Find other members of the school community under Directories.

Step 2: Search for a specific member of the Windward community. Add this person to your contacts.

Step 3: This person’s information will now be stored in your Contacts and you may access their information at any time.

Using the Calendar Using the School Calendar Step 1: Access the school calendar on the right side of your Navigation bar.

Step 2: Select how you would like to view the calendar. The calendar allows you to view events by day, week, or month.

Step 3: Customize your calendar view by selecting one of the calendars seen along the left-hand side,

Step 4: Filter the selected calendar by toggling the checkmarks on and off for individual athletic teams or calendars.

Step 5: To add the school calendar (with preferred filters) to your desktop calendar, select the RSS feed button.

Step 6: Title your calendar appropriately and hit “OK�.

Your school calendar will now appear with the rest of your desktop calendars.

Your Child’s Groups Navigating Your Child’s Groups Step 1: Click on your child’s name on the top left corner of your navigation bar.

Step 2: If your child is on an athletic team, the team will be displayed under “Athletics”. Click on the blue athletic title to access your child’s team page. Please note, team pages will be completed at the end of August.

Your child’s team page can also be accessed through the “Group Finder” icon on the Resource Board.

Profile Settings Your Profile This is your Profile dropbown bar.

Step 1: Click on “Profile� to access your Contact Card, which will allow you to update your home address, email, and any phone numbers on file.

Profile: Privacy Settings Step 2: Click “Settings� in the Profile dropdown bar to view your login, notification and privacy settings.

Step 3: Click the Privacy tab to decide what information of yours is publicly displayed in the online school directory.

Profile: Notification Settings Step 4: Depending on your access, you may use Notifications to determine which site updates will trigger email and/or text alerts to be sent to you.

Step 5: If you haven’t done so already, you can set up a Text enabled device by clicking the green plus button. This number is independent from the mobile number stored on your Contact Card. Please keep in mind that data charges will apply.

Profile: Notification Settings Step 6: Some notifications require a little extra set up. Click the “Setup Options” tab to select which type of notification alerts you want to receive.

Below are the notifications we recommend you turn on. Under “General Categories” this emergency alert system will allow you to receive emergency bulletins posted by the Communications Department directly to your mobile device that you have added in the previous step.

Accessing MyWindward Accessing MyWindward from a Mobile Device Step 1: Type in windwardschool.myschoolapp.com into your mobile browser.

Step 2: Add the App to your HomeScreen.

Step 3: Log in using your MyWindward credentials.

Upon login, you will be taken to your mobile Resource Board. Your mobile Resource Board has all of the same resources as your desktop Resource Board.
