Letter From the CEO

Member Connect Q2 2026 News & Updates

Thank you to all the members of the West Virginia Central Federal Credit Union family! You have all played a significant role in my life for nearly 32 years. When I started with Central in November 1994, I could not have imagined all the wonderful things we would accomplish together.

We developed products and services that reward our members for supporting fellow members and the credit union, which embodies the purpose of a financial cooperative. Additionally, we have fostered a culture of genuine service to our communities, giving special consideration to children, the elderly, and our veterans.

I am excited to see where WV Central will go under the leadership of our new President and CEO, Cindy Turner. Cindy is experienced and wellprepared to continue our success, grow the credit union, and enhance the financial well-being of all members who aspire to thrive.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for being part of our credit union family and for the unwavering support you have always provided. This includes our wonderful members, our outstanding volunteers serving on the board of directors and the supervisory committee, and all staff and team members. I have truly worked with some of the very best the world has to offer! I feel blessed, and I will miss our daily interactions.

I wish each of you success and happiness!

As the new CEO of West Virginia Central Credit Federal Union, I want to assure our members that there will be no significant changes in how we operate. Our commitment to providing world-class member service will remain our top priority, and we will continue supporting our communities just as we have done throughout our history.

With Mike’s departure, West Virginia Central Credit Federal Union will continue to move forward with the same values and dedication that have made us successful. We will remain focused on finding new ways to better serve our members, grow the credit union, and stay current with technological advancements that help protect our members and their financial well-being.

I have 38 years of experience in banking and financial services and have had the privilege of serving alongside Mr. Tucker since 1995. Throughout my career, I have developed a deep appreciation for the credit union philosophy of putting members first. I believe Mike and I share the same passion and commitment to serving our members, employees, and communities.

I am honored to continue building on the strong foundation that has been established and look forward to leading West Virginia Central Credit Federal Union into the future.

Thank you for your continued trust and support.

The Importance of Savings and an Emergency Fund

Life is unpredictable. A car repaid, medical bill, or unexpected expense can catch anyone off guard. Having even a modest emergency fund can mean the difference between a minor setback and a major financial crisis. Most experts recommend saving three to six months of living expenses, but the most important step is simply getting started.

WV Central’s Savvy Savers program makes saving effortless and easy! Every debit card purchase is automatically rounded up to the nearest dollar, with the difference deposited straight into your savings. It’s free to enroll. Give us a call at (304) 485-4523 to sign up today! Click here for more information.

Parkersburg Community School Supplies Drive

From June 15 through August 14, we’re collecting school supplies to donate to local schools before the first day of class. Drop off locations at each of our branches during regular business hours. If you’re not sure what to bring, any school-related supply is welcome.

All collected items will go directly to local schools to help students and teachers start the year ready to go. Stop by and donate through August 14!

Annual Day of Giving Applications Open

WV Central is proud to support our local communities through our annual Day of Giving! Created in the spirit of International Credit Union Day, each year we set aside funds for charitable donations to organizations making a difference.

In partnership with the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF), we’re accepting grant applications now through August 30. We welcome requests from organizations serving Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Wirt or Wood counties in WV and Washington County in Ohio. Apply here!
