CVMO Message

Hello, Fellow Veterinary Professionals!

WVC Nashville is almost here and I’m excited to share what we’ve been working on to deliver the premier continuing education that you know and trust! Our Education management team has poured its heart into making sure every moment you spend with us helps you walk away with practical, confidence-boosting skills that you can put to use right away.

We’ve pushed ourselves to design educational experiences that go beyond the usual. Many of you know how much we believe in learning by doing, and that’s why we’re expanding our learning journeys by creating and introducing KNACK Tracks –Keys to Navigating and Applying Critical Knowledge. KNACK Tracks are immersive, skills-based learning experiences designed to move veterinary professionals beyond traditional CE and into real-world application.

Each KNACK Track combines focused lectures, hands-on workshops or labs, and guided assessments to help participants build confidence, sharpen decision-making, and apply knowledge immediately in practice. For more details, see page 12 and 13.

And for something truly unique, brace yourselves for our hands-on labs in dedicated, purpose-built education centers and not in a hotel conference room. These specialized sessions will give you an unparalleled chance to dive deep into an increasingly important area of veterinary medicine, offering insights and practical skills you simply won’t find anywhere else especially in the way we do what we do. These experiences are meant to give you an overview of the larger laboratories that we offer year-round in multi-day training courses.

Of course, hands-on training remains at the very core of the WVC experience. Our cutting-edge education centers and renown instructors will be buzzing with activity, providing that vital real-world setting where you can practice techniques that you can take back to your practice. This strong focus on active learning ensures you’re not just taking in information, but truly making it your own, ready to apply it as soon as you return to the clinic.

Our goal is to send you back to your practice feeling more capable, more confident and better equipped for whatever comes your way. We believe that by offering these diverse and practical educational formats, we’re doing more than just providing CE hours; we’re actively helping to advance your career and improve the well-being of your patients.

I can’t wait to see you in Nashville, where you can explore all these exciting new offerings and so much more, as this barely scratches the education surface. Get Confident. Get Connected. Go All In!

See you soon!

From Planning to Performance | A Practical Social Media System for Veterinary Clinics

Sat, Aug. 15 | Cheyanne Lovan | 36 Seats Available

1 KNACK

This KNACK Track is a hands-on, start-tofinish experience designed for veterinary professionals who want a clear, repeatable system for managing social media—without overwhelm.

Through two focused sessions and an interactive workshop, complete with an assessment, participants will learn how to plan content strategically, create posts that connect with clients, and measure what’s working so they can continuously improve. Rather than isolated tips, this track delivers a complete workflow clinics can immediately put into action.

By completing all three components, attendees will walk away with:

• A practical content planning framework

• Ready-to-use post templates and a 4-week calendar

• A streamlined workflow for creating and publishing content

• Confidence reading social media metrics and adjusting strategy

• A personalized toolkit of tools and shortcuts to save time long-term

This 3-part Social Media System KNACK Track is ideal for clinic owners, managers, technicians, and team members responsible for social media who want structure, clarity, and real-world results—not marketing jargon. KNACK Track Badge is obtained after completion of the two lectures, workshop, and assessment.

Veterinary Practice Efficiency KNACK Track

Mon, Aug. 17 | Andrea Crabtree | 36 Seats Available

This KNACK Track guides veterinary teams through a structured journey from identifying inefficiencies to implementing sustainable improvements. Across two required lectures, participants learn to recognize the hidden costs of everyday workflow challenges, such as missed charges, communication gaps, underutilized technicians, and doctors performing technical tasks, and explore proven systems used by highly efficient practices. These sessions build a foundation in leadership-driven efficiency, Lean and PDCA principles, accountability structures, and change-management concepts that help teams shift from reactive chaos to intentional, streamlined operations.

After completing both lectures, participants move into an interactive workshop where they apply what they’ve learned to a real inefficiency from their own practice. Through hands-on exercises, communication mapping, and workflow redesign, they develop a customized Efficiency Action Blueprint that outlines a clear problem,

improved process, measurable goals, and team accountability plan. This practical application bridges theory with real-world change and sets the stage for lasting operational improvement.

To earn the KNACK Badge in Veterinary Practice Efficiency, participants must attend all three components, Part 1 lecture, Part 2 lecture, and the Workshop, and successfully complete an assessment. This includes a knowledge check on the lecture material and an evaluation of their Efficiency Action Blueprint demonstrating competency in applying Lean, PDCA, and change-management concepts. When completed, participants will earn their Veterinary Practice Efficiency KNACK Badge and be equipped with the tools, confidence, and systems needed to elevate efficiency for patients, clients, and teams alike.

KNACKs are intentionally sequenced, offering a deeper dive into clinical, operational, or professional competencies. Participants who complete all required components receive recognition for advanced, applied learning.

Sun, Aug. 16 | Ken Bruecker | 16 Seats Available

No orthopedic surgery experience? No problem!

This KNACK Track course is designed for the Novice Veterinary Surgeon. Cranial cruciate ligament injury is arguably the most common orthopedic injury seen in companion animal practice. plastic bone and anatomic specimens. Participants will be able to take these new skills back to their practice immediately and have a positive impact on their patients’ lives.

Some pre-course fundamental course work will be provided to enhance the hands-on learning experience, followed by an assessment from expert instructors. Participants who complete all aspects and pass the assessment will obtain this KNACK Track badge.

Know Before You Go

What is WVC?

Nearly 100 Years of Legacy

From what began as the Intermountain Livestock Sanitary Association in 1928, to what is now one of the largest and most exciting veterinary education conferences in the country, WVC Annual Conference (WVC Vegas, and now, WVC Nashville) is a place for all veterinarians, veterinary technicians, practice managers, students, and all other animal health industry members to gather.

Earn hundreds of CE hours by attending education sessions, explore innovations in the industry, and relax and unwind with amazing entertainment.

P.S. In case you’re wondering what ‘WVC’ means, it used to stand for “Western Veterinary Conference”. Now we call the event WVC. The more you know!

Dates: Aug. 15-18, 2026

Location: Music City Center, Nashville, TN

Tips for WVC First-Timers

Wear comfortable shoes.

You’ll be walking quite a bit around the convention center, Exhibit Hall, and event spaces — trust us, your feet will thank you.

Bring a light jacket.

The session rooms can get chilly thanks to the A/C, so we recommend packing a windbreaker or lightweight layer to stay comfy indoors.

Download the Viticus Group app.

This will be your best friend during the conference. Use it to favorite sessions, track your CE, explore speaker bios, and easily locate exhibitors.

Plan ahead for meals.

Dining spots can get busy during peak hours. Make restaurant reservations early if possible, and consider group orders at the food court to save time.

Have a game plan.

With so many sessions, labs, and activities to choose from, a little pre-planning goes a long way. Decide what CE tracks matter most to you, and block out time for breaks or networking.

Don’t be shy — say hi!

Whether you’re attending solo or with a team, WVC is a welcoming community. Many first-timers say their favorite memories came from striking up a conversation at events like Party for a Purpose or after a session.
