Many Candles, One World is the second annual Chanukah celebration of the global Reform and Progressive Movement, a community of 1.2 million members in 1,200 communities and congregations. Coming to you live from Central Synagogue in New York City and virtually around the world, the event will showcase Chanukah miracles from eight unique Jewish communities.
Many Candles, One World will feature musical performances and special appearances by, among others, Rabbi Angela Buchdahl, Cantor Daniel Mutlu, Rabbi Sergio Bergman and cantors, rabbis, kids and community members from around the world each sharing songs, blessings, and insights into the miracles of Chanukah.
“We created Many Candles, One World in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the shift in Jewish life from communal to individual that has taken place across the globe. Now that many of us can meet in person, we are coming together in a hybrid program to show that we can continue to use technology to enhance our celebrations with warmth and meaning
