the Wild Coast Jikeleza Route...I am sure many of you have heard of the Wild Coast Jikeleza Route however for those who haven't - let us educate you.

What does “Jikeleza” mean ? “Jikeleza” in the local isiXhosa language invites one to “wander” or “meander.

Where is the Wild Coast Jikeleza Route? The route starts just outside Beacon Bay in East London and ends on the N2 some 30km away. For the most part it follows the T1 Road (also known as Schafli or the East Coast Resorts Road) with several stops on a number of tarred and well signposted trunk roads ranging from the T2 to the T10. Wild Coast Jikeleza route includes: Beacon Bay East Coast Resorts Road, Rainbow Valley, Sunrise on Sea, Kwelera, Yellowsands, Glen Gariff, Glen Eden, Glen Navar, Queensberry Bay, Four Seasons, New Four Seasons, Glen Muir, Chintsa East and West WUEC Page 6

your home Why A Good Mattress is Important to Your Health Your bedroom is the most important place in your home as this is the place you unwind after a hard day's work. So it is vitally important that your bedroom is an extremely comfortable and inviting place to be. One third of your life is actually spent in your bed sleeping and therefore the right kind of mattress to sleep upon is extremely important.

Mattresses play a huge role in how you sleep, your well-being as well as quality of sleep. You can have all kinds of issues which include's insomnia, poor posture, snoring problems, achy and sore muscles each morning, as well as back pain if your mattress doesn't suit you.

When choosing your mattress, the primary importance should be offered to comfort before you decide to purchase one.

Cells rejuvenate during the sleep cycle, and if the body is not fully relaxed, these cells will not properly or efficiently be replaced. This causes a person to wake up feeling tired and during the day they will not feel as though they had enough sleep. Sleep deprivation can also be a nasty side effect of an old and or uncomfortable mattress. Lack of energy, depression, and inability to concentrate can all be the effects felt when a person is

attempting to sleep on an uncomfortable mattress. Old mattresses lose their ability to properly support the body.

So don't forget the importance of replacing an older mattress to improve the quality of your sleeping, and in the long run, your life TIP : Cleaning, rotating and vacuuming your mattress regularly will keep it comfortable and extend its life.

Therefore, if you're planning to purchase a mattress, ensure that you spend sufficient time searching for the right mattress intended for yourself without being hasty in making a decision and then regretting it later.

your home Useful Tips for Daily Life‌ *If you ate something too spicy, try to put some salt into your mouth (without swallowing) for a moment, and then spill it out with water. *If some dust got its way into your eyes, close them and cough a few times. *Put some soap onto your wound immediately if you were bitten by a mosquito. The itchy feeling should no longer bother you. *Try to drink some vinegar if you're burping *If you find the skin of the chestnut too difficult to remove, heat them up in the microwave for a moment AFTER removing the shell. *Want your flower to keep fresh longer? Try pouring a drop of detergent into the water. *You can't sleep? Try to avoid drinking tea, chatting or any activity that require brain usage.

Try bathing your feet in water mixed with a tint of vinegar. * If you have bad breath due to food such as garlic, try eating a few peanuts. *Got mouth ulcer? Try applying some Vitamin C or Vitamin B2 onto the wound. *If you want your plant to grow faster, try pouring some tea water onto its roots. *If there is a part of your shoes that constantly scratch your leg, try applying some Chinese rice wine onto that area of the shoe. *For burns or grazes try applying some toothpaste. This should kill the pain and stop the bleeding immediately. *Try drinking some tea if you ate food that is too greasy *If there are coffee or tea stains in your cup, try applying some toothpaste. It should clean your cup like it's brand new. *Open your mouth when you're using eye drop.

That way your eyes would stop blinking. *If you want to remove the smell or sterilize your cutting board, try washing it with white vinegar *Put some chalk inside your jewellery box and your jewellery will always shine.

kiddies corner Fun Easter Egg Hunt Idea's to do with your Children Easter egg hunt fun idea #1: Use different coloured eggs by age.Colour code the eggs you hide according to age so that means the littlies, or the two- to four-year-olds can hunt for blue eggs, while the older kids go for purple. Or have the boys hunt for green and the girls hunt for yellow. It means little kids have an equal chance to find the eggs while also fostering a cooperative spirit amongst the kids who will try to help the others gather the eggs they aren't entitled to.

Easter egg hunt fun idea #2: Add letters to each egg so kids can make words.Buy some alphabet stickers or write a different letter on the outside of each egg. Hey, you could even get crafty enough to paint letters on each egg.Set the kids loose on their egg hunt and then offer extra Easter prizes to the kid who makes the longest word from their egg stash. Or take a look at our decorating eggs craft, and get some new ideas.

Easter egg hunt fun idea #3: Keep a record of the eggs. It's worth trying to make a note of how many eggs you've hidden and some of the sneaky spots you managed to stash them.

There's nothing worse than finding melted chocolate under the couch cushions a few months later!

Easter egg hunt fun idea #4: Set hunt boundaries. To make sure that chocolateaddicted kids don't endanger themselves by climbing on to the garage roof to look for eggs, establish the boundaries of your Easter egg hunt.

Tell kids to stay between the house and the first tree, for instance, or to go no further than the driveway.

Easter egg hunt fun idea #5: Draw a map.Keep things interesting by setting up a treasure hunt for kids. Give each child a map using pictures for those who can't read yet. Cut out a picture of a chair, for instance, or draw a coffee table to show them where the eggs are. Then be a bit sneaky by hiding another map at one of the clues.

Wild Women on the run A dream of running the Wild Coast in their busy lifestyles, while raising became a reality for 17 women in April 2012. Over the 3 days many tears were shed, blisters burst, lifelong friendships forged and an incredible R30 000 was raised for local charities; African Angels and Busfare Babies.

This year's Wild Woman on the Run (WWOTR), starting on 21 March will see 20 ladies running from Glen Eden to Haga-Haga (day 1), Haga-Haga to Trenneries (day 2) and Trenneries to Mazeppa Bay (final day), totaling about 92km's - an average of 30+km daily.

“Being able to run this amazing adventure is a privilege and we have decided to use it as an opportunity to bless others” said race founder, Lucille van der Merwe. “With the Kempston Group's sponsorship this year, our motivation is to 'up the ante' in our efforts to fundraise for the charities we support” Bonnie Currin, National Recruitment Manager of the Kempston Group, WWOTR's major sponsor, says that the ethos of the run is well aligned to their company which has built its foundation on the employment and progression of women. “We support professional and successful women taking time out for themselves to ensure balance and health

awareness and funds for charitable organisations that focus on the well being of women and children”.

The runners taking part range in age from 24-46 and from novice runners who first got into running shoes in October last year to well-known multi-day distance runner Kim Van Kets. Wild Woman is a run for normal, everyday women who love doing extra-ordinary things. One of their goals this year is to raise an extra-ordinary sum of money for these local women and children's charities!

2012, a year where God established His order individually and corporately for a common goal – believe, dream and put into action Gods dream for your life in 2013. We thought that order meant a gentle shift in the right direction. A year of plain sailing and regaining focus. However, when a bone is out of position and order in our bodies, it is a painful process to bring it back into order. No one could have prepared us for the rapids, waterfalls, twists, whirlpools and white water that we had to pass through this year, as God established His Order. All this behind us, we need to feel positively alive to the possibilities of the way ahead and be unafraid of them, becoming secure and more confident in our Father and that He is in control.God has placed a dream within you and you need to regain your hope and believe that He has a plan and purpose for your life. Believe God for miracles – counteract all unbelief in your life. Remember that what you focus most on in your life, will be what you are most sensitive to. Soften your heart and surrender to all that Christ has for you.Stand with us on the edge,and be ready to dive into God’s Adventure for 2013. The prophetic word that Shelley du Plessis(Church of the Nations-our church affliation) gave for 2013, is that it is the year of ‘Coming of Age’(maturing into Real, Relevant Maturity). For a long time, she felt that we have been sitting around absorbing the truths of the word and talking about Kingdom influence and making a difference. Well, now we together with her and Keith, her husband, we believe 2013 is going to be an action year and a year of putting rubber to the road and taking responsibility for our actions or non

actions. The age for drinking the milk of the word and having sloppy spiritual meals is over!

We need to now grow up and eat the steak of the word, build spiritual backbones, stop apologising for the things we can’t do, take hold of what we are able to do and become the Godly Kingdom change society needs.

"13" is a significant number in the Hebrew tradition. It is the age of ‘coming of age’! We need to be like Jesus, of whom it was said, “and Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favour with God and man.” (Luke 2:52).

Each article, we will focus on a new aspect of 'Coming of Age'-maturing into real, relevant people. It will be practical, self sacrificing, demanding, revealing. Journal the year, be creative in trying new things, be courageous when pushed out of the comfort of what we are used to. We need to be expectant, bold, unwavering as the months go on. We feel we need to start a fresh movement of God’s Power, inspired and undergirded by the Spirit of God. Join with us on our God Adventure for 2013.
