It’s been a busy few months since you joined. What have been the highlights of your experience with us so far?
Cruise118.com is part of World Travel Holdings, one of the world’s largest cruise travel agents, and so I recently travelled to the United States, meeting with our US team based in Boston.
Sharing ideas on how we can improve our service further with our wider team brings even more opportunity for our customers. Meeting all our cruise line partners has been a great introduction, and we continue to build on these long-standing relationships to bring the very best offers and expert knowledge that we can pass on to you, our customers.
There are many new developments in cruise with new ships, emerging cruise lines and new itineraries. What can our clients look forward to in 2026?
Our customers can expect an incredible year in the world of cruising. A new wave of ships will be setting sail in 2026 and 2027, many of which are improving their designs to improve sustainability, with some moving towards hydrogen power. An exciting highlight for 2026 is the debut of Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas, the latest addition in Royal’s Icon Class that will be sailing her inaugural sailing in the Mediterranean – a fantastic opportunity to get on board! We’ll also be able to see MSC World Asia set sail on her maiden voyage, as well as Norwegian Luna launching in April 2026, sailing from Miami around the Caribbean. NCL’s new Prima Plus class (offering more space, bigger outdoor areas, and enhanced experiences) is a must for family cruising.
Finally, what is your dream destination and cruising highlight to inspire our clients?
My top two dream destinations are Antarctica and the South Pacific. Both destinations are completely different so it’s almost impossible to choose between them! My cruising highlight was a cruise to the Galapagos Islands with my family. Snorkelling with a flotilla of turtles, seals and blue-footed boobies was just breathtaking, and we loved hiking and kayaking through remote, pristine locations. The entire trip truly felt as if we were part of a nature documentary! My daughter was nine at the time, and to experience that trip through her eyes was incredibly special – it is something that we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.

New Ships Launching in 2026 & 2027!
The next few years will bring an exciting wave of new cruise ships, with several major launches planned for 2026 and 2027. Many of these vessels will feature cleaner propulsion systems, including LNG and even early steps towards hydrogen power, marking a strong move towards greener cruising.
A highlight for 2026 is Legend of the Seas, the latest in Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class. She’s designed with creative neighbourhood-style spaces, lively entertainment and eco-minded technology. Also arriving in 2026 is MSC World Asia, set to be one of MSC’s most energy-efficient ships, offering modern facilities and plenty of room to explore. Together, these show how the industry is shifting towards smarter design, quieter operations and thoughtful on-board experiences. For guests, it means more sociable spaces, a smoother journey and a fresh way to enjoy time at sea.
Following the launch of Norwegian Aqua in 2025, Norwegian Luna will follow in 2026 and feature open space, elevated design and sustainable technology, as seen across the NCL fleet, plus a host of brand-new innovations and interactive experiences, including the incredible Aqua Slidecoaster!
