SAFFRON MEARS

Hello! My name is Saffron Mears and I am a 20-year-old originally from Oconto Falls, Wisconsin and I am a member of the Oneida Nation. I spent the first few years of my life living on the Oneida reservation, and I now reside in Madison, Wisconsin as I pursue an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As a Native American student, this internship was especially special to me and instilled importantfoundationalcommunicationskillsinme.

Hello, my name is Deven Metoxen-Hamilton I am from Seymour Wisconsin, a small town just outside the city of GreenBay.Iamcurrentlyinmy2ndyearattheUniversity ofWisconsin–StevensPoint,majoringinWildlifeEcology as well as minoring in Biology and Soil Science.Some of my hobbies are bowling, soccer, football, as well as fishing and hiking.
