Stephanie Wright is a dental practice management coach and founder of Stephanie Wright Practice Management. With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and dentistry, she helps private practice dentists strengthen operations, build healthy team cultures, develop effective leaders, and increase profitability and long-term practice value. Stephanie has spent years helping dentists navigate restrictive Dental Plan rules, reduce their dependence on Dental Plan companies, and remove contracts while retaining patients and protecting their businesses. In 2023, Delta Dental of Michigan sent her a cease-and-desist letter because of this work. Rather than silencing her, it confirmed that her strategies were making an impact and strengthened her resolve to advocate even louder. Stephanie works alongside teams, not above them. Before becoming a coach, she was a dental assistant, so she begins by asking the people doing the work what gets in their way and addresses those barriers first. That is where genuine buy-in begins. From there, she helps practices build cultures in which team members have a voice, take ownership, and help shape how their roles contribute to the success of the practice. Her expertise includes Dental Plan strategy and appeals, fee-for-service transitions, Open Dental optimization, KPI analysis, leadership development, and practice valuations. She rejects one-size-fits-all solutions, building every strategy around the practice’s goals, care philosophy and team. Stephanie is a Coast Guard veteran and the founder of The Great Lakes Smile Project Inc., a nonprofit supporting a dental clinic in Tanzania. Her programs are direct, engaging, and built for action. Attendees leave not only motivated, but equipped with practical tools they can use immediately.
