The Writers’ Exchange gave us all sorts of different kinds of supplies, like pipe cleaners, paper rolls, popsicle sticks, dice, pompoms and blocks, and we used them to design our own challenges. We played our challenge games with each other, and then we put them in this book so that you can play them, too. Try to win each one!

how to play Put 3 popsicle sticks in your mouth (2 sticking out and 1 across the others). Balance all of the blocks and pompoms on top of your popsicle sticks. Hold for 10 seconds. Then take everything off. If you have time, put on the paper bag, too. But if the paper bag falls, you will lose.

how to play Everyone starts as a chicken. Then you try to become a hamster, then a cow, then a crocodile, then an elephant, then a T-rex. If you can’t do it 3 times, you lose. Hints: You have to fight the next animal to turn into it. You need to eat smaller things than you to get XP hearts in your XP bar. To beat the smaller animal you need to bite it.

how to play Put a loop in a pipe cleaner. Put the pompoms in the paper roll. Using the pipe cleaner, try to get the pompoms from the paper roll to the tops of the 10 blocks. Then, try to put the pompoms on the popsicle stick. Balance the pompoms for 10 minutes.

how to play First, put the popsicle stick in your mouth. Clip the clothes pegs onto the pompoms. Then put one block at a time on the popsicle stick. Then put the clothes pegs and pompoms on between the blocks at the same time.
