This book is a collection of writing and art created by kids and youth in the Writers’ Exchange and Writers’ Room after-school programs during our winter and spring 2024 terms.
The Writers’ Exchange is a community that supports under-resourced kids and youth to build their confidence and get excited about reading, writing and their own potential. All of our programs are free for the children and families we serve, and we could not exist without the support of our amazing donors.

Her mom woke up, checked on Wednesday, then went downstairs to watch TV. Mom heard a baby crying. She went outside and saw a baby. She picked her up and called her Baby Wednesday. Mom and Baby Wednesday went to sleep.

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Aimee. She lived with her auntie and her sister, and her friend Mariana lived across the street. She snuck out to go to my house and she accidentally got lost. But then, she found a way. We started playing outside, but she wanted to go to MacLean Park and I wanted to go to Strathcona Park, so we started to fight. We told each other’s parents and then they started to fight because my auntie wanted me to go to MacLean Park. Then we stopped fighting because Mariana had an idea. The idea was to play for five minutes at Strathcona Park then at MacLean Park for five minutes. But that didn’t work because we forgot to tell our parents that we were going to Rainbow Park. Then we got lost because it was too far and we didn’t know the directions.

The house was dark but they shone the light and after Wednesday’s family took their money and the Big Shiny Rainbow family began to be poor.

When I first got my baby bunny, she was too cute and I wanted to squish her so badly! There is ONE problem. . . she poops A LOT! I’m not even kidding, like. . . I’m not even joking! I’m not even capping! We gave her a shower and cleaned her. We also cleaned her poop that had maggots.

Harry Potter and Dumbledore went to Hogwarts in 1994 and Harry got selected to Gryffindor. It was Christmas and Harry Potter got a gift from an unknown person. It was an invisibility cloak. One of his friends got mad and went to the bathroom. An angry orc went to the bathroom and tried to attack her. Then one of the Hogwarts teachers saw the orc walking to the bathroom and went to Professor Dumbledore and reported the scene. Everyone evacuated, but Harry Potter and Ron Weasley went to the bathroom. They did a spell on the orc and it floated and they cast an Avada Kedavra. Harry Potter and his friends hid the body and called 911 to say they found the body. After they went to get dinner. The end!

Once upon a time there was an I Don’t Know Monster who lived in the town of I Don’t Know in a big lagoon, surrounded by I Don’t Know fish. One day, the king of the town, named I Don’t Know, offered a reward (in writing) to anyone who could get the I Don’t Know Monster to say something besides “I don’t know.”
A young girl decided to try, so she made her way there and found the monster at the bottom of the lagoon. She asked the I Don’t Know Monster to say something else besides “I don’t know.” And the monster said. . . “I DON’T KNOW!’”

It was a sunny and hot summer day. Reem and Marah and Leen went to Playland. They went on the log ride and the swing ride. Then, they ate one cotton candy each. It was so much fun, but Reem got scared on the roller coaster. Marah and Leen almost got scared but didn't. To make Reem feel better, they got her more cotton candy and gave her a hug.

Girl SpongeBob and Patrick love each other. Patrick took almost everyone’s burgers, because he likes them. He ate every burger. Everyone was mad, so they left the restaurant. SpongeBob said, “Why did you eat all the burgers?”
Patrick said, “Because I like them!”
SpongeBob said, “It’s ok, I’ll make more burgers.”
Everyone was happy in the end. Leen and Marah came in and got delicious burgers and Patrick didn’t eat them. After, Patrick got a happy face on his burgers. Everybody went home.

One night Madison, Gabby and Bella were playing Roblox on Grandma’s phone and iPad. Grandma said they could stay up late and play Roblox. Then all three of the girls went to bed.
The next morning, Madison, Gabby and Bella woke up. Gabby and Bella watched TV and Madison played on her phone.
Madison’s dad came to pick her up. Bella and Gabby said, “Bye!”

Me and my friends Adnan and Hamza are going to ride our E-scooters during spring break. We’re also going to play soccer. We're going to go to Trillium and play soccer there because me, Uday and Hamza are good on turf. We’re going to order Amir Eats for a snack.

Pikachu and Evee are going to explore the whole world. They start by taking a plane, of course, because they want to go to another planet. When they get close they see that the planet is orangey red. They skydive down to the planet. And they see another Pokemon named Charizard and they become friends right away when they first meet.

The world started to fall apart. They used a giant roll of tape but the tape only held for one year, even though it was very strong. Then they created a giant bottle of glue but the glue only held for half a decade. So then they created a volcano and used the lava to hold the world together. The volcano stone held it together from year 8000 to year 9000. Then, when the volcano stone broke, they decided to move away from the planet to a new planet they created and it was their own private planet with a giant cage and passcode.
One day their friend wanted to come visit. He forgot the passcode and tried to guess it but he put in the wrong code and the alarm went off. The police came and arrested him and the Poop Dog family said this: “DON’T TAKE OUR BEST FRIEND AWAY. HE IS OUR BESTEST FRIEND IN THE GALAXY AND IF YOU TAKE HIM WE MIGHT FAINT!”

Mary and Jack were walking up a hill. Then they saw a haunted house and they wanted to investigate inside. When they walked a few steps, the door closed behind them! They got scared so they went into a room. Then they found some scary stuff. Then they went to a different room. Then Jack said to Mary, “I want to get out of here!”
They found two bedrooms but Mary said, “We have to sleep here.”
They were still awake, so they investigated more rooms, but in the last room there was lots of scary stuff on the walls and coffee table. Then they had to go to sleep because it was late. When Mary woke up, she was horrified to see a skeleton on the ceiling. Mary screamed, then Jack woke up and ran to her room. He said, “What’s wrong?”
“There is a skeleton on my ceiling!” said Mary.
Then they both ran to the door to try to escape but they couldn’t open the door. They lived in the haunted house until 2050.

On the day of October 21, 2020, Bob and Jimmy started working together to build a kid's hospital. Why? Because they were the builders. Bob and Jimmy worked at the construction field downtown. It was taking a long time to build the kid's hospital because of COVID-19. Using their tools and equipment and other people, they eventually finish the building construction after a year.

Welcome to the Banana Games. We are gonna play Blue Light, Red Light. There are 456 players. If the player moves on a red light, they turn into a banana. The winner of all five matches wins 4.6 billion dollars!
The next game is Bananas Are Out. Everyone gets bananas and they have to steal all the bananas and eat them. When the lights are on you need to stop stealing bananas or the guards will see you and they will turn you into a banana!
In the Banana Game, you get to make a statue of a banana out of sand and whoever makes the best one wins and whoever makes the worst one turns into a banana forever.
Now there are only two more people left for the last Banana Game. You get bananas and you try to hit the other person out of the circle. If you succeed in all five challenges, you win 4.6 billion dollars.
And that’s all of the story!

One time they were walking in the forest and they saw something shiny and glowy. They went to it and it was. . . a CRYSTAL. They brought it back to Ava's house and tried to bring it to Ava’s room, but then her mom saw it and said they had to bring it back to the forest. Ava said to her, “Mom!” and her mom said, “Yes.”

One day, he went out on a walk and saw someone who looked very familiar. Then he noticed it was just his reflection in the mirror. He realized that it was all a dream and he woke up. He stretched, went to school, and met someone named Oscar and someone named Harry. He became friends with Harry and Oscar and immediately fell in love with both of them. They went on a date.

When he got to the customer’s house, he gave him his food and Amir’s favourite customer gave him a 5 dollar tip for making it in 0.000001 seconds. Then Amir took his alien friend to his house.

One day, I was walking in the streets and I was so hungry that I was looking for a restaurant. I found a restaurant called Tasty Food and I decided to go inside. I found nothing but noodles on the menu, so I ordered noodles and then when it came I had one bite and it tasted so good. I had the best meal ever.

Once upon a time, there was an invisible man. How did he get these superpowers, you ask? A scientist gave him superpowers. The invisible man's name was Tommy. He lived in a truck because he was broke. He lost his job and couldn’t pay rent. So one day, he went to a scientist and told him he worked for the FBI, but he was lying. After he became invisible he started to steal to live. He robbed houses and gas stations.

They all said, “Okay, sure.”
At 3:00pm the next day we were all getting ready and we met at my house. It was a fifteen minute walk to the waterfalls. Then we got there and we were walking more so we could get a closer look. Then we saw the waterfall was frozen, so I walked on the frozen water and it was scary and fun at the same time. I called my friends to come, then we were all standing together. Then: *CRASH*
The ice broke and we all fell in the icy water. It was very cold. I shouted, “Help me! It’s so cold!”
Then Yasmeen came out of the water and helped the rest of us. Then we ran to the closest store and got a new set of clothes and said, “Never again!”

Hahahahahahahahahaha! Then, he ran all the way back to China.

When the bees woke up, they were shocked. Their honey was stolen. The bees started to look for the honey until they saw the baby bear sitting under a cherry tree, eating up the honey. The bees went to the bear and asked for the honey, but the bear refused to give it back. So the bees start stinging the bear. The bear ran away and the bees got the honey back.

Then their class got a new student named Sara. Sara asks Gretchen “What do you like?” and Gretchen said “medicine.” Sara said, “I love medicine. My cousins and siblings also go to this school and they like medicine.” At recess, Gretchen was able to make friends. Happily ever after.

He thought he couldn’t 'cus he was poor, so he said, “No thanks, I’m poor.” He sadly walked away but then the kind horse stopped him. He looked up at the horse and was very shocked. Then the horse said, “Get on my back, please.”
“Ok," he replied, so he got on his back and then went to the park together and they played together for hours and hours. The End.

Afterwards, they went back home and had a birthday party for Mr Rhino. There were chips and drinks and they watched TV.

Then the bunny kicked Rocky in the face and Super Cool Cole threw it off a cliff. Then Rocky said, “What’s that thing behind you?” and Rocky yelled, “AHHH a bear! Stay away from me or I’ll rip your neck off again!” Then the bear transformed into a human.
The human said, “My name is Liz and I am a human that transforms. I am trying to find a group cause I’m a detective.”
Then they saw a bear again and yelled, “Liz is that you?” The bear growled and they all screamed. The bear gobbled Liz up. But just so you know, Liz had a bomb and Super Cole took the bear's head off. Liz said “I want to keep this skull for good luck.” They went out to get popsicles, but they saw a robber there. They had a freeze ray so they froze the robber and took his popsicle! The end!

The Evil Master came from the moon. His kingdom was inside of the moon. The Evil Master was making robots attack Earth. After a few months, they were ready to attack. He had some evil friends that also wanted to rule the earth. Evil Master was the leader because he was the strongest. Evil Master’s friend was the Evil Titan. They were getting ready to take off to attack Earth. Gravity didn’t matter to them. They were firing rockets and laser blasters. They had superpowers and magic. Once they were there, they destroyed hundreds of forests. Then they got to the city and were close to the secret underwater kingdom. That’s where Superhuman and “Super Robot 25.0” were.
People from the city fired rockets at the evil invaders, but they had powerful shields to defend themselves. The underwater secret kingdom sent powerful robots with lasers on their arms. They were attacking the evil robots. The evil robots were dying. Then Evil Titan one-shot them with a small powerful missile. Some survived because of their powers. Super Robot fired more missiles at Evil Titan. Evil Titan attacked when the lasers were close to them. They used their shields for defense. At the same time they used rapid fire blasters. . . Evil Titan was mad! He went into evil mode and destroyed all the super robots. The city was destroyed!
Back at the destroyed city, Super Titan finished charging his energy and quickly went to attack Evil Titan. . . Evil Titan fell to the ground! Super Titan had a good defense shield. Evil Titan charged his blaster again! He made a shot but Super Titan forgot to turn on his defense shield and got hit in his chest. His chest had a good defense and he didn’t die. He fell to the ground, turned on his jetpack and attacked. Super Titan had a very strong hammer charged with energy and hit Evil Titan in his chest. He flew into space and the water kingdom was saved. Super Titan’s teammates had some good upgrades for him. They replaced his arm with an Energon™ sword and replaced his jet pack with a wing. Super Titan was ready and they were fighting for a very long time! Evil Titan used his new arm; it had Fire Breath! Super Titan quickly equipped his water blaster. Super Titan charged his blaster, but Evil Titan saw it and charged his Energon sword to blast him. Super Titan swung back. The swords hit each other very hard. Super Titan catapulted back to the city and used the Energon to stab Evil Titan and Evil Master. Victory was finished but the evil robots escaped the blaster and started to get materials on Earth. . . they started to make a new base. . . they wanted revenge.

The staff had finally cooled down after five years. When Whyrli went to check on it, it wasn’t there. He looked everywhere but couldn’t find it. He was really sad. So he went to the forest to find iron to remake it. But when he got to the forest, Whyrli found his staff near a hole in the wall. He got curious and started to adventure. He found that there was a place behind the wall. He saw that the land was really big and also really dry. The trees were dead and he couldn’t see the end of this land but he did see a house. He was fifty kilometers away from his house and he couldn’t walk that much because his legs were tired. So he decided to go to the house on the other side. Once he got there, he knocked on the door but no one answered. He knocked again, nobody answered. Somebody behind him said, “Hey! What are you doing at my house?”
Whyrli said, “I am Whyrli and I am fifty kilometers away from my house. Do you think I can stay here today and who are you?”
“I am Maximus and no you can not stay at my house!”
“Why, Maximus?”
“Because I have too many secrets. And now that you know the location of my house, I can’t let you live!!!! HAHAHAHA!!! Removea!!” said Maximus, while Whyrli dodged the spell.
Since Whyrli did not have any training, Whyrli just said random words like “Adoowewe.” A blue light shot out of the staff and hit Maximus, making him fly out of sight. When Maximus teleported back he said, “Supplio” and hit Whyrli.
Whyrli fell to the ground and couldn’t get back up but Whyrli just said “Xdamo,” freeing him.
Maximus was too slow in saying “Removea” and dodged it by flying into the air again and said “Removea.” It badly hurt Maximus and Whyrli flew away into Raptor’s Hedge to his home.

Sadly there's no drawing for this Fred story. These past few days he has been feeling down since his wife divorced him AGAIN. . . Normally, Fred somehow stalks her without knowing that he is stalking. . . But this time, it was different. Usually he finds her in one to two days, but it's been a week since the divorce! So now Fred has been a little loner!
Fred, so lonely without Carla, his wife before the divorce: I think I'll order some DoorDash.
Twenty-three days later AND HE CONSTANTLY ORDERED DOORDASH TO THE POINT HE HAS GONE CRAZY.
Fred: Carla, am I really seeing you right now?
Carla as a hallucination in Fred’s mind: STOP ORDERING STUPID DOORDASH FOOD AND GO TO THE GYM.
Fred: But you used to tell me to be who I am. Me being a couch potato is me!
Carla as a hallucination: Well I lied, GO TO THE GYM NOW.
(Fred rolls to the gym because he actually can’t stand up because he’s been on the couch for twenty-three days)

Dump and Steam Bun were drinking strawberry and lychee boba together. They were also eating some sushi because sushi is good. They decided to try something new. They’re going to try a burger because they’ve never tried a burger before. So they go to Burger King. They try a burger when they hear something. They hear rustling coming from the kitchen. They decide to check out the noise. Dump decides to go first because he is not scared. They saw what it was and it was. . . A BURGER! They become friends. Then they heard more rustling from outside the store in the mall. They went to the railings to check what the noise was. Then Burger pushed Dump and Steam Bun off the stairs! Burger was a backstabber. Dump said, “Never trust American Burgers. . . 'cause they got beef!”

It was the first day of school. Nia was a nervous wreck as she walked up to the recess yard. What would the big drama be this year? Nia never got a moment's peace.
"Hey Nia! Have you seen the new kid yet?" Justine asked as she ran up alongside.
"No I haven't. Is it a girl?"
"You'll see!" And with that Justine flitted away like a hummingbird.
Nia walked into class and sat in her usual seat at the end of the row. Why mess with a good thing? She reached down into her bag for her pencil box and by the time she raised her head, the new kid was sitting right next to her. Oh great. Now I have to explain everything to the new kid. He had dark hair and red, watery eyes, like he hadn't been sleeping. I'd better get it over with, she thought.
"What's your name?" she asked him.
The new boy seemed to wake up suddenly. "Oh hey. I'm Zaki, what's yours?"
"I'm Nia. Why do you look so tired?"
Zaki grinned. "I stayed up late watching Real Madrid crush Barcelona. Barcelona sucks!"

Later, several hours into a day of ignoring the annoying new boy, Mr. Tennenbaum started handing out assignment sheets.
"Everyone will be pairing off with the person next to them. Jordan with Ana, Chris with Callie, Nia with Zaki, blah blah blah. You'll have to get together after school to coordinate your work, so put your phone numbers on your sheets. This will be a big portion of your grade, so take it seriously."
Before Zaki could say a word, Nia hissed, "We are working on this separately, Real Madrid-boy. I don't want your bad opinions seeping into my work."
They worked separately but their parts made no sense together
(he did a thing on pandas, and she did a thing on plastic in the oceans). Nia and Zaki decided to put aside their differences and start texting to discuss their assignment. Maybe he’s nice after all, thought Nia. Nia realized she’d starting to catch feelings for Zaki. They texted back and forth nonstop, until Zaki brought up yet another dumb comment about Barcelona. They argued. The next day, Nia didn’t want to talk to Zaki and Zaki didn’t want to talk to Nia because of their fight.
“Hey Nia. . . about the project.” Zaki tried to talk to Nia first. At school they compared their parts and realized it made no sense. They finally decided to work together again since they wanted a good grade on the project. The texting continued and everything went back to normal, until. . .
The next day, another new boy, Jayden, came to the school and sat right on the other side of Nia and fell in love at first sight. . . Both boys tried to get Nia's attention. Nia came up with a solution and told Zaki she wants a 1-on-1 soccer match for the honour of their teams. Zaki won but apologized, “I love you and I’m sorry.” Nia and Zaki fell back in love with each other after their soccer game.
Jayden watched from afar and saw Nia and Zaki on the soccer field. Jayden was heartbroken and went home to ask his AI assistant for advice on love. Then he fell in love with the AI assistant. The End.

There once was a hotel named Firewood. It had been abandoned since 1945. It was raining on the day Lia went. She had been having nightmares about Firewood recently. They always ended with a scream. It was pouring rain and Lia needed to find shelter. Then she saw a hotel and ran in without thinking. Lia pulled open the two golden doors and ran in. All of a sudden, she ran into something hard. When she opened her eyes, nothing was there. She noticed a doll next to her feet but in a blink of an eye, it was gone. When she looked up, there was a crowd of people walking around. After the crowd passed she saw the same doll as before. She rubbed her eyes and then it was gone again. She thought she was delusional, but she swore that she saw a doll. She went to the clerk and asked, “Could I please get a room?”
When he turned around to face her, he had an open slit in his neck! Lia screamed! She was terrified. She has never seen a slit in a neck before. She turned to leave but the door was gone! She was stuck inside without any way out!!! She started to panic and wondered if she would ever get out? She went back to the clerk and asked for a room again. He turned around and there was no slit in his neck, just a regular man standing there. He gave her a key and it said “25” on floor number 13. Lia walked up a winding staircase to her room. It felt like the stairs were moving beneath her. When she got to her floor she was in a dark hallway and her room was at the very end. Lia noticed that the room's door looked worn down and untouched for many years. She took a deep breath and unlocked the door. As she entered the room, a cold rush of air hit her. The window was completely open.

Poop was in the toilet when a man came and flushed him down the toilet and into Central Park. He walked out of the sewer and he saw a crowd of humans. Then a human saw Poop and they started chasing him. Then someone put Poop in a poop bag and threw him in a room. When Poop was in the room he saw Teddy and Teddy saw him and licked him. Teddy said “Mmmh. Yummy.”
When Poop saw that, Teddy decided to scare him. When Teddy got scared he asked, “Why can you talk?”

In the first twenty minutes all was good, but when they went outside to play that's when they found all of the bullies. The scariest one was the Jello. . . Jello started chasing Poop and Teddy. Poop and Teddy ran away from Jello and they saw a fish. They ran to find water but they couldn't find water. The fish helped them to find water. The fish told them where the bathroom was. They finally found the bathroom and they saved the fish’s life. They were happy but. . . they forgot that Jello was targeting them. Then they saw Jello again and started to run. They ran and ran until Teddy couldn't run any more. That’s when Poop was gonna flush himself in the toilet with Jello chasing after him. Now they were in the ocean. Jello was disintegrating. But Poop couldn’t hold his breath any longer. But then fish saves him and Poop saw Teddy again and was like mmmh chocolate. The end.

They thought that this was gonna be a one or two week crush, but two weeks turned into one month then four months. After the fifth month there was another project, but Star wasn’t with Jacob. Instead, it was with a girl that was flirting with Jacob a lot and it was pissing Star off. Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 20 mins
Ingredients:
• All-purpose flour: ¾ cup
• Rice flour: 1 ½ cups
• Sugar: 1 cup
• Baking powder: 1 ½ tsp
• Baking soda: 1 tsp
• Salt: ⅓ tsp
• Coconut milk: 1 ¼ cups
• Evaporated milk: 1 ¼ cups
• Ube halaya: 3 oz
• Butter & cheese
• Ube extract: 2 tsp
Directions:
Mix rice flour and all-purpose flour. Add baking soda and baking powder. Mix. Add sugar and salt.
In a separate bowl, add coconut milk.
Mix all together.
Pour the batter into a “puto” mold. Steam the batter for 3 minutes. Place the cheese on top. Cook for 7 minutes more.
Remove from the steamer. Allow to cool for 7 minutes.
FINISHED!!
Serve and enjoy.

NO! I say. I will not let the court nor a silly net stop me from playing. I start close at the net. I can see the gum some kid put on the bottom of the rim. I make a shot. I step back; the court laughs and mocks me but I ignore it. Shot after shot, step after step, ignoring the sound of the ball hitting the court after missing the net, until I reach the 3-pointer. I think to myself for a second, should I do this or should I stop? Or should I take a chance. I take a deep breath and shoot. All my worries drift away as the ball swings in the air. I’ve accepted my fate, now it is out of my hands. I did it, I hit a shot from the 3-pointer! I did it.

Alina was a regular princess. She wore dresses, went to royal events, and had noble friends. There was one thing, however: Alina didn’t fall in love with anyone. Her parents, the king and queen, feared she was homosexual because of their homophobia, but it seemed she didn’t like anyone at all, no matter how rich they were, how strong they were, or how good looking they were. Alina loved tea parties, her friends, and physical affection, she just didn’t crave romance at all, and she hated how her parents always tried to force her to get married. She didn’t desire marriage or a romantic relationship, she just cared about her platonic ones. She didn’t have the word to describe it, but Alina was what we call today, Aroace; she didn’t feel any romantic or sexual attraction towards anyone, but had close friends and loved them deeply. She was also a warrior, which defied her kingdom's expectation of women at the time. She was independent and strong, and when she needed help she relied on her friends. Did I ever tell you of the time she slayed a dragon, dear child? Oh yes, it was very impressive, but that's a very long story. Well, okay, okay, I’ll tell you. A dragon was terrorizing the enchanted forest near her kingdom, which was where the kingdom got its magic resources, so they couldn’t go in there for a while and even the knights couldn’t muster up the strength to go in. So Alina took it upon herself to go in and defeat the dragon. Her best friend, Zay, went with her, he didn’t let her go alone. Long story short, they defeated the dragon and got the magic stone of borealis. What is that, you ask? That's a story for another day, the end.

The man is a man. He is very average and works in an office. His job is so meaningless it’s not worth bringing up, in fact he doesn’t even know what he does. He sits at his chair all day, staring at a blank screen. This is literally what he gets paid for, and all around him for a seemingly endless amount are cubicles filled with men with meaningless jobs staring at their screens. His shift ends and he goes home and eats food not worth mentioning, in a city not worth mentioning. He is a man not worth mentioning. He was born meaningless and will die the same way. He knows this, but still participates in the endless loop. He goes to sleep and wakes up to go to work, he sits at a desk and stares at a computer screen.

“Are you ready, babe?” Drake asks Kendrick as Kendrick is getting ready.
“Yeah. . . I hope. . . ” Kendrick says after he finishes getting ready.
“Good luck, babe!” Drake says as he gives Kendrick a quick kiss on the cheek. Then Kendrick heads out and starts to perform. Drake watches but he gets sad and mad with each song that Kendrick sings and runs off to the bathroom. Kanye sees him and goes after him, finding Drake sobbing in one of the end of the bathroom.
“Are you good, Drake?” Kanye asks as he knocks on the stall door gently.
Drake doesn’t reply and keeps sobbing in the stall.
“Drake. . . C’mon. . . Talk to me, man.” Kanye knocks on the door again.
“I wanted to meet his madre. . . I wanted to pay my respects to his padre. . . ” Drake says in a quiet and shaky voice.
“Come out. . . ” Kanye says and Drake takes a minute but eventually comes out of the stall, tears running down his cheeks, as he still sniffles a bit. Kanye hugs Drake tightly and holds him close, gently soothing him.

Floyd walked through the garden, finding Hunter in the process. “What are you doing here?!”
“What do you mean?” Hunter said in a calming tone, putting his hand on Floyd’s shoulder.
“It’s my territory, I claimed it!!” Floyd yelled at Hunter, clearly angry at Hunter.
“It’s not yours, it’s everyone's.” Hunter said as he smiled, holding Floyd closely.
“Even mine?” Floyd blushed at Hunter.
“Yeah, even yours” Hunter kissed Floyd then walked away, leaving Floyd flustered and confused.

Ingredients, per person:
• 15 mL of butter
• 250 mL of mini marshmallows
• 400 mL of (any brand) rice krispie cereal
• 1mL of vanilla
• 50 mL of (any) chocolate
• 2 drops of red food coloring (optional)
Steps:
1. Spray baking tray with nonstick spray.
2. Place a piece of scale paper at the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan and butter the edges. Set aside.
3. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
4. Add marshmallows and stir until melted and well combined. Stir constantly.
5. (Optional) Add red food colouring until desired color is reached.
6. Add vanilla.
7. Stir in cereal, mix until well coated.
8. Place mixture evenly and firmly into the buttered pan.
9. Let cool. (a little)
10. Cut using heart cookie cutters.
11. Place chocolate in a liquid measuring cup. Microwave for 15 second intervals, stirring after each time.
12. Drizzle chocolate onto rice krispies.
13. Place in containers.
14. Clean up.

musical literacy while practicing to take part in the competitions. Anakt’s educational approach utilizes a cult-like system to brainwash the children, teaching them to believe in the “Great Anakt,” a false deity. Lynn, a lively 8 year old girl training in the Anakt Garden, meets a new girl named Null, who is sitting alone on her first day there. Lynn knows more about the Anakt Garden than Null, but Lynn and the others don’t know a lot about the Alien Stage Competitions.

Overview:
• The left is too focused on identity politics.
• The right is developing too much of a cult-like following.
• I can name two liberal commentators.
• There are so many of the right.
• It’s so hard to get a good grasp on the current state of affairs.
• Politics is influencing the movie industry and is trying to appeal to a general audience rather than a targeted audience.
• Too many people are pandering and just want to have the right opinion and feel good about themselves. Virtue signalling is alive and well!
• Stop hiring bad writers. Stop pushing agendas.
• Make the message of the story more integrated and less overt.
• What do the writers want? What do the directors want? They should decide what the story is that they want to tell and not let the ratings war affect the film or let outside sources affect the creative direction.
• The studios should be able to move on from the old franchise storylines.
• We should be able to appreciate stories told by the left or the right.
