EXCHANGE RATE For our American friends, the exchange rate will be announced on sale day at the start of the sale. DELIVERY If you take home your bull purchases on sale day, $100 will be deducted off the price per bull. Free delivery within 350 kms. In excess of 350kms, delivery will be charged at cost for the kms in excess of 350 kms. Delivery will occur as soon as practical after the sale, at the buyer’s risk. WINTERING PROGRAM The seller(s) will keep your bull(s) until April 30th, 2024, free of charge. Insurance is mandatory for this option. After May 1st, 2024, a feed charge of $3.50/head/day will be applied. Welcome everyone to our Turnbull Charolais & Guests Annual Bull Sale. Wow! What a fantastic fall we had! I suppose we all knew the colder weather would eventually come and that all good things must come to an end, typically at calving season. The moisture is very much needed so we won’t complain about that. Once again, we would like to thank our past and present buyers for their support each and every year of our program. We couldn’t do this without you, and we enjoy going down the road delivering bulls to repeat customers and new ones along the way. Seeing our bulls go into fantastic herds is extremely rewarding. With that being said, we are very excited with this year’s set of bulls. We feel that this outstanding group we have to offer have the same proven genetics that we have seen work in many of our customers herds, along with the sons off our new herdsires that have those same qualities that we at Turnbull Charolais continue to strive for. This variety will represent and portray the Charolais influence in any herd. The tremendous foot structure, disposition, hair, calving ease, and performance in these bulls from all different sire groups give any breeder the opportunity to embellish their calves in whatever ways they see fit for their program. We encourage you to stop by the ranch prior to the sale to view the bulls in person. We are honoured and excited to be working with the Turnbull, Lewis and Robbin’s families again to showcase this outstanding offering of Yearling and Two-Year Old Charolais, Red and Black Angus Bulls. Year after year, the quality of the bulls featured in this annual offering keeps getting better and better, and as you will find in the pages of the catalogue, the quality of this year’s offering will not disappoint. The Turnbull Charolais program is a progressive program that is continually gaining momentum and positively impacting the Charolais breed with their genetics. Each year, they source industry leading genetics to compliment their herd and push their program forward. They have built the foundation of their program with genetics that will work and perform in any environment, without sacrificing performance. The bulls are raised in the rugged foothills of the mountains, where they are exposed to often times harsh and trying climate – from high winds to deep snow, blazing summer heat and wild temperature extremes, these bulls have weathered it all. The Lewis family is once again a guest consignor to the sale, and they are bringing quality Charolais two-year olds from their Char-Lew program to town. These bulls are ready to go out and work, to sire those market topping CharX calves that feeders are paying premium for. The Robbins family is also guest consigning to the sale once again, bringing some top quality Red & Black Angus long yearling bulls to the sale. The angus offering has some exciting herdbulls that will work in any program. They are sound, functional, smooth made and are a very consistent group of Angus bulls. Whether you are looking for a cow bull or a heifer bull, a performance driven bull or one to sire those replacement females to build your herd, this offering has it. There is something here that will suit everyone’s taste. You can have peace of mind purchasing out of the sale, because each consignor backs their bulls. We strongly encourage you to tour the bull pens at each of these programs. Welcome to the 4th annual Turnbull and Guests Bull Sale. Hard to believe it’s already been 5 years since the last High Country sale in town! As I sit and reflect on the past year and all the ups and downs, you are thankful that some things stay steady and consistent year after year. Your support and interest in our program keep us going and we are thankful for it. We are very pleased with this year’s pen. There are 2 new sire groups that compliment the old sires nicely. The ‘Huxley” bull is the high selling bull we sold to Dog Patch Acres Charolais. Out of first calf heifers, these bulls are smooth, long and have just the right amount of frame to give your calves some grow. The ‘Bandit’ herd sire was the lead off bull at Legacy Charolais bull sale. He has definitely stamped his sons with width, thickness and all put together on a moderate frame. Front and Center and Tank have both left some very nice sons for their last sons on offer to sell. As always, we would love to show you the bulls. With technology it is easier than ever to check out videos and pictures online, however, I believe you can’t beat boots on the ground and encourage you to stop in and check them out at the ranch. The sale will be broadcast on DLMS, so if you want to buy that way, get signed up so any kinks can be worked out before the sale.

Hello and welcome! A. and L. Robbins Ranching has been selling bulls for over 30 years and we continue to be diligent, work hard and strive to produce good quality Black and Red Angus bulls. We are proud to offer for sale a good selection of Reds and Blacks. There are 20 long-yearling bulls born in the fall of 2022 and 6 two-year-old Red Angus bulls born in the spring of 2022 at Carolyn and Paul’s. The twoyear-old bulls were wintered with the herd bulls until Dec. 2023. We work to provide bulls with calving ease yet still have good growth. Excellent maternal traits, good feet and good dispositions are also a focus of our breeding program. All bulls can be seen at the farm until sale day. Terms & Conditions

TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable immediately after the sale. Settlement is in Canadian funds. The right of the property shall not pass until settlement is paid in full. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. Current exchange rates will be announced on sale day. BIDDING: Each animal will sell to the highest bidder. Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone their bids and instructions to the sale manager, auctioneer, or special representatives. Bids must be received prior to the sale, in a sufficient time frame. DISPUTES: In case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final. ANNOUNCEMENTS: All announcements made from the auction block on sale day will take precedence over the printed material. Errors discovered in the catalogue will be corrected from the auction stand at sale time and such correction will take precedence over printed material in the catalogue. PURCHASER’S RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. All animals left with the seller must be insured. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association or the Canadian Angus Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer after payment has been made. IN-HERD SEMEN: Turnbull Charolais, Char-Lew Ranch and A & L Robbins Ranching reserves the right to collect semen on any bull sold through the sale. Semen collection will be at seller’s expense and the buyer’s convenience. BREEDER GUARANTEE: Should any bull fourteen months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six months following the date of purchase or six months after the bull has reached fourteen months of age. The seller has the right and privilege of six months to prove that the bull is a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze. EXCEPTION GUARANTEE: In the case where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproductive techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void. The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold or for sickness not apparent at sale time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price. INSURANCE: Insurance will be available for purchase on sale day. DELIVERY: Assistance will be given with making delivery arrangements after the sale. The purchaser agrees shipping arrangements will be at the convenience of the seller but will be as soon as practical after the sale, at the buyer’s risk. ACCIDENTS: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither Turnbull Charolais, Char-Lew Ranch, A & L Robbins Ranching, the auctioneer, sale staff or Wright Livestock Marketing Services sale management assumes no responsibility in the matter and disclaims any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of an accident or loss of property. SALE MANAGER: Wright Livestock Marketing Services Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his/her obligations, or for any warranties, guarantees or representations, expressed or implied.
