We have a vast amount of experience across the team. Some recent examples that give an idea of the level of work we regularly undertake are:

• Achieving a favourable settlement for our client, the UK subsidiary of an international food product manufacturer, in a potential multi-million pound claim against a food delivery company for breach of an exclusivity agreement.

• Successfully defending a derivative action bought by a director of an engineering company against our client, a co-director and shareholder, for alleged breach of fiduciary and statutory duties. The claim was adjudged to be an ancillary strategic attack by the co-director, therefore not brought in good faith, and struck out with 85% of costs awarded to our client.

• Successfully settling a claim against our client, who sold his company to an international entity, for alleged breach of tax warranties contained in a sale and purchase agreement.

• Negotiating with the insurer of luxury properties owned by our clients, represented together as an association, to meet the cost of rectifying multiple defects in the properties.

• Making a successful, urgent pre-action application for an injunction ordering the return of a specialist vehicle that formed part of a wider contractual dispute between our client one of its customers.

• Advising a large group of independent financial advisors on the post-termination restrictive covenants in their employment contracts as they transitioned from one financial services company/network to another.

• Representing a national sports governing body at an urgent specialist tribunal to determine a dispute over the eligibility of a competitor to compete at nationally significant event, and, following the ruling of that tribunal, successfully assisting the parties agreed to settle the matter.
