Our Crucial Services:
We help women assess their choices and options. We offer hope, enabling them to make ed ucated decisions. We are the only 100% free and confidential resource for pregnant women within 50 miles of Natchitoches. We offer ultrasound visit s, peer counseling, ed ucational opportunities, & material assistance through our Little Rose Baby Boutique. We work hand-in-hand with numerous community partnerships to ensure that women of Natchitoches and beyond have what they need. Guided by our faith, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Type of Visits:
1st Visit: Our client advocates will meet with you for a free pregnancy test & will review your medical history. We provide you with a first supply of prenatal vitamins. You will be provided with information about all the offerings of our center. You will also be provided with information about all pregnancy & maternal wellness ser vice providers you may need. 2nd Visit: Our nurse will meet with you to discuss pregnancy health and nutrition. Many client s have their first ultrasound d uring this visit to determine a viable heartbeat and a potential d ue date. 3rd Visit: Our client advocates will provide you with more information about prenatal care. You will gain information about stress relief techniques, learn about classes we offer, and you will be able to pick out your diaper bag. Birth Outcome: Soon after your baby is born, it is important to us to visit with you and your baby. You will recieve your diaper bag with the items you chose. You can sched ule an apointment or we will do a local hospital visit.

Rooted & Rising Educational Classes Healthy Beginnings 1 & 2: Healthy Beginnings 1 & 2 focuses on nutrition d uring pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding, and early childhood. Parent s learn how nutrition support s grow th, development, and overall wellness. Participating parent s earn a new Pack 'n Play. Financial Literacy: Financial Literacy provides guidance on budgeting, managing household finances, and planning for the future as a growing family. Participating parent s earn a savings account. Car Seat Safety: Car Seat Safety teaches correct car seat installation and everyday safe-use practices. Hands-on instruction helps caregivers ensure children are transported safely. Participating parent s earn a new car seat. Child Safety-First Aid & Home Safety: Child Safety introd uces basic infant and child CPR, first aid awareness, and home safety principles. This class is ed ucational and not a certification course. Participating parent s earn a first aid kit. Breastfeeding Ed ucation: Breastfeeding Ed ucation covers breastfeeding basics, positioning and latch, pumping, and milk storage, as well as common challenges. Participating parent s earn a breast pump. Childbirth Ed ucation: Childbirth Ed ucation prepares expectant parent s for labor and delivery, covering what to expect, common inter ventions, comfort measures, and informed decision-making. Participating parent s earn a delivery comfort kit.

Rooted & Rising Classes Offered After Baby is Born Baby Basics: Baby Basics introd uces parent s to essential newborn and infant care. Topics include safe sleep foundations, feeding routines, soothing techniques, developmental milestones, and building confidence d uring the early months of parenting. Participating parent s earn a baby support pillow/positioner.
Cradled in Care: Cradled in Care focuses on infant safety, including American Academy of Pediatrics safe sleep recommendations and proper bathing techniques. This class support s parent s in creating safe daily routines at home. Participating parent s earn an infant bathtub.
Nourishing Little Ones: Nourishing Little Ones covers feeding from infancy through early toddlerhood, including breastfeeding support, formula feeding, the introd uction of solid foods, foods to avoid, and the establishment of healthy eating habit s. Participating parent s earn a portable high chair.
Mom to Mom: Mom to Mom offers a welcoming space for mothers to connect, share experiences, and receive encouragement d uring early parenting. Group discussions focus on emotional support, practical parenting, and community connection. This is an open participation, recurring class. Participating parent s earn a Motherhood Journal.
