MetroWest Master Association Welcomes Local Realtors To

PICK OF THE PATCH REALTOR TOUR

MetroWest Master Association (MWMA) recently hosted more than 30 realtors at the sixth annual “Pick of the Patch” Realtor Tour. The tour provides the opportunity to share information about MetroWest’s newest businesses, public safety initiatives, residential opportunities and all exciting community developments with area realtors.

Realtor Tour participants gathered Oct. 24 at MetroWest Golf Club for breakfast and presentations by MWMA General Manager Julie Sanchez and the golf club. A community bus tour followed with stops at examples of available MetroWest properties, including a condo, a single-family home and commercial office space.

In keeping with the “Pick of the Patch” theme, Realtor Tour attendees were greeted by a witch reciting a poem about MetroWest, received stress “eyeballs,” and enjoyed a champagne toast in a skeleton hand glass.

“Our goal for the Realtor Tour is to showcase what a desirable neighborhood MetroWest is, as well as make the event fun and memorable,” said Sanchez.

“It’s a great opportunity to inform area realtors about everything our community has to offer.”

MetroWest Comes Together for National Night Out 2018 MetroWest Communities in partnership with our Public Safety team hosted National Night Out 2018 on Oct. 2 at Veranda Park and welcomed a large crowd from the MetroWest community.

The annual National Night Out event helps to increase Neighborhood Watch participation by promoting the work that police, fire, residents and businesses do together to make our neighborhoods safer and better places to live.

MetroWest’s National Night Out was visited by Orlando Police Department Chief John Mina and team, Orlando Fire Department

Chief Roderick Williams, the team from the local Fire Station #12, representatives from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Commissioner Samuel B. Ings and his team, Florida Fish and Wildlife and Gatorland.

A big thank you goes out to the volunteer groups who made National Night Out a great success: MetroWest Unit Five (Madeleine Francois and her team), Central Park COA (Nancy Stout and her team), Residences at Veranda Park (Mary James), MetroWest’s Public Safety Team (led by Shannon Bryson and Rex Barrett), and the MetroWest Master Association (Julie Sanchez, Elizabeth Caban and Terrell Fawbush). With the fall weather finally upon us, there is no better time to visit the re-invented MetroWest Food Truck Connection! At this busy time of year, with everyone bustling about in preparation for the holidays, our Food Truck chefs want to invite you a take a break from the kitchen and leave the cooking to them.

The Food Truck Connection takes place every fourth Thursday of the month from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Veranda Park and features culinary delights ranging from barbeque, burgers, donuts and homemade crepes! Oui oui!

More and more local residents are coming to the Food Truck Connection because it offers dining selections with an upscale taste at a reasonable price and the opportunity to try unique dishes sometimes not found at regular restaurants. Another bonus that adds to the experience is the opportunity to make new friends and connect with neighbors.

In addition to food, the Food Truck Connection offers music and family fun activities including “Spirit Nights” benefitting local schools.
