YOUR TOWN OAKLAND PD ISSUES AWARDS The Oakland Police Department held its annual awards ceremony Dec. 16, and Police Chief John Peek recognized several officers for their outstanding service to the town. Officer Roger Fisher was named Crisis Intervention Team Officer of the Year and received his second Life Saving Award medal; Officer Jamil Dib was named Officer of the Year and was given a Patrol Service Ribbon; officers Rene Castro and Anthony Edwards received Meritorious Service Awards; Cpl. Curt Crews earned the Criminal Investigations Service Ribbon; Lt. Angela Campbell and officers David Hall, Andrew Ricks and Jason Hayes received the Unit Citation Award — Training Unit; and Code Enforcement Officer Matt Reusch and Administrative Assistant Kelly Sims were presented the Unit Citation Award — Administration Division.
