orizon West is mixing the yuletide spirit with thrill rides at the Hamlin Holidays Fair. Presented by Strates Shows, Inc., the family-friendly event also features fair food, games of skill and photo ops galore. The Giant Wheel, Sky Flyer ride and a legion of inflatable characters can’t be missed at the field north of Walmart. Qualifying has commenced for candidates interested in running for a seat on the Windermere Town Council. The General Election is Tuesday, March 8, 2022, and three seats will appear on the ballot. These seats are currently held by Mayor Jim O’Brien and council members Chris Sapp and Andy Williams. Qualifying opened Wednesday, Dec. 8, and closes at noon Jan. 7, 2022.
