FORECASTERS PREDICT SNOW IN METROWEST MetroWest will ring in the holiday season with its seventh annual WinterFest from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at MetroWest Golf Club, 2100 S. Hiawassee Road, Orlando. This theme for this year’s event is “Happy Feet.” Hosted by the MetroWest Master Association, the event will feature a snow slide, snow globe, facepainters, exhibitors, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, music and performances, and a screening of “Happy Feet.” The event will raise money for Edgewood Children’s Ranch. The town of Windermere recently settled a lawsuit filed by a Miami resident who is legally blind and claimed to be harmed by the fact that the town’s website lacked ADAaccessibility features.
