YOUR TOWN Santa’s Old Fashioned Christmas Trees has set up a tree lot on the north end of the Windermere High School campus, 5523 Winter Garden Vineland Road, Windermere. The Frazier firs start at $65. The WHS chorus students are making and selling fresh wreaths for $25 to $50 and hand-painted ornaments for a minimum donation of $3. Proceeds will help the students raise funds for the chorus’ debut performance April 26, 2019, at Carnegie Hall. Children can write letters to Santa Claus, and there are photo opportunities, as well. The stand will close Dec. 23.

The town of Windermere is being sued by a homeowner who believes the town’s recent roadwidening project on Park Avenue has resulted in repeated flooding in her home. The home, which is located on Park Avenue, was purchased in June 2014 but only recently

started experiencing flooding following the completion of the town’s nearly $1 million project to enhance the Park Avenue corridor. The intent of the road-widening project was to reduce traffic congestion during Windermere Elementary School’s drop-off and pick-up times. It included the construction of eastbound SEE TOWN PAGE 6
