The West Orange Junior Service League will host the Jingle Jolly Jog 5K at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Oakland Park, 15241 E. Oakland Ave., Winter Garden. The run/ walk starts and ends in the community. This event, which benefits the league, will include both a 5K and kids fun run. There will be winners in each age group, a special visit from Santa, a live DJ and more. The cost is $25 through Nov. 26, $30 through Dec. 2 and $35 on race day. Kayleigh Rawles’ parents, Kristine Silva and Joshua Rawles, embraced 17-year-old Paulina Weintraub, an old best friend and former neighbor of Kayleigh, during a memorial Nov. 19 at Bill Breeze Park in Ocoee. Kayleigh died Nov. 13. She was just 13 years old.
Kayleigh Rawles, an eighth-grade student at Ocoee Middle School, died Sunday, Nov. 13, but the memory of her kind heart and smile will live on in the memories of those who loved her. See page 4.
