Orange County leaders shared details about a new relief school in Southwest Orange County during a community meeting held Thursday, Nov. 8, at Dr. Phillips High School.

The school, known as Site 80-HSW-4, is currently at its 10% program verification phase. It is slated to open in fall 2022 at its site in Dr. Phillips, west of Palm Parkway and Interstate 4, east of Apopka Vineland Road, south of Fenton SEE SCHOOL PAGE 2

The Hugh T. Gregory American Legion Post 63 is hosting its second Challenge 22 Ruck Walk to raise awareness of veteran suicide. It takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Crooked Can Brewing Company, 246 W. Plant St., Winter Garden. Registration and sign-in is at 10:30 a.m., with the opening ceremony starting at 11. The walk is 2.2 miles, but participants do not have to walk the entire length.
