YOUR TOWN DONATE TO HOLIDAY FOOD BASKET DRIVE The West Orange Christian Service Center is collecting donations for its annual Thanksgiving Food Basket Drive and is asking the community to provide holiday meal items for families in need. Donations are needed by noon Friday, Nov. 20, and can be dropped off at the center, 300 W. Franklin St., Ocoee. Baskets will include two types of canned vegetables, potatoes, stuffing mix, bread or rolls, cranberry sauce, dessert and a $10 Publix or Aldi gift card so families can buy a turkey. Optional items include apples, canned pumpkin, coffee, evaporated milk and onions. For information, call (407) 656-6678.

Following rumors regarding the future of five Windermere boathouses, town staff was ready to set the record straight. In a video posted to the town’s YouTube channel, Town Manager Robert Smith quashed rumors that the boathouses are being demolished. Smith assured residents that no decision has been made as to what will happen to the boathouses. The boathouses are located in Palmer Park west of Main
