The Lake Apopka Natural Gas District has been awarded the American Public Gas Association’s Silver SOAR Award — its third SOAR Award win since 2015. The award recognizes excellence in system integrity, system improvement, employee safety and workforce development. “We are honored to be recognized as an excellent employer and service provider,” said Samuel Davis Jr., district general manager and CEO. “We continually strive to provide the highest level of service and value to our customers, employees and community. Having received this award yet again is a testament to that commitment.” In addition, Davis was appointed as first vice chair of the APGA Board of Directors, following his service as second vice chair last year.
