YOUR TOWN OCPS CHANGES SCHOOL START DATE — AGAIN Orange County Public Schools on Monday, July 27, announced all students will begin virtual learning starting Monday, Aug. 10. OCPS was approved to go forward with what it is calling its Distance Learning Days, which will run the course of nine days — from Aug. 10 to 20 — and allow students registered for both face-to-face and LaunchEd@Home to use the virtual platform at home. As of press time, OCPS said face-to-face schooling will begin Friday, Aug. 21. These will be instructional days that include many of the typical exercises done at the beginning of a school year and will give those in the school system time to get acclimated to the platform, OCPS officials stated.
