Dear Friends: The past few months have been busy ones in MetroWest, and the next few months promise to be just as eventful!

On May 20, MWMA presented MusicFest, which drew impressive participation despite the threat of rain. Nearly 1,000 attendees enjoyed live music from Rick Derringer, Liverpool Live, and Will Donato at MetroWest Golf Club. Our determination that “the show must go on” even resulted in MusicFest receiving coverage on News 13. Unless the weather is severe, our events are always “rain or shine,” although we, of course, would prefer “shine.” Thanks to everyone who attended, participated and volunteered!

On June 20, we celebrated a truly important milestone as eight MetroWest communities received Crime Free Certification. An additional four to six communities are on track to complete Crime Free Certification by the end of this year. Achieving Crime Free Certification requires dedication on the part of each community’s owners and management, so we thank and congratulate them for their determination.

Next up: The MetroWest Master Association budget will be presented for approval at an open board meeting scheduled for September 13. If you are interested, please plan to attend.

Be sure to save the date for MetroWest’s National Night Out celebration on October 2. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

We have also set the date for this year’s WinterFest. Our annual free holiday celebration will be December 8 at the MetroWest Golf Club.
