The Bill Marshall Memorial Scholarship was presented this year to seniors Jessica Kernohan and Alfredo Meyer, two outstanding water polo players at West Orange High School. The scholarship began in 1994 in memory of Bill Marshall, a West Orange parent who loved youth and swimming and was instrumental in bringing water polo to WO as a sanctioned sport. Each student athlete received $2,000 from Susan Marshall at the recent water polo banquet.

OCOEE FD EARNS HONOR The Ocoee Fire Department has received an ISO Class 1 rating, the highest public protection classification rating that is provided by the Insurance Service Office, an organization that independently evaluates municipal fire protection efforts. This new classification places the Ocoee Fire Department in the top half of 1% of more than 46,000 departments in the nation.
