Dozens of residents living in the Lake Avalon Rural Settlement voiced opposition to a proposed project on Davenport Road during a community meeting Thursday, May 23. Great Greek announces Hamlin plans The fast-casual franchise will be offering its brand of Greek cuisine later this year. ERIC GUTIERREZ STAFF WRITER

Hamlin is about to get a new spot for those with a hankering for hummus. The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill will be setting up shop at

16045 New Independence Parkway, Suite 100, Winter Garden, and is expected open later this summer. The fast-casual franchise serves authentic Greek dishes made to order with fresh ingredients. From dolmades to desserts to gyros and Greek rice bowls, the
