YOUR TOWN RAISE AWARENESS ON DENIM DAY April marks Sexual Assault Awareness Month in the United States. During SAAM, activists raise awareness about sexual violence and educate communities and individuals on how to prevent it. NeverStandAlone, a nonprofit based in Central Florida that promotes awareness of sexual assault and violence affecting the nation’s students, is asking for support on Wednesday, April 24 — Denim Day. The nonprofit is asking community members, elected officials, businesses and students to make a statement with their fashion by wearing jeans.
