YOUR TOWN BROOKSHIRE HOSTS FESTIVAL

Families and children played games, climbed rock walls and enjoyed sweet treats at Brookshire Elementary School’s Carnival Saturday, April 1. The carnival is organized each year by the ParentTeacher Association.

Mothers at the DSACF’s Success Center coax their babies for an impromptu photo shoot. The Center has several programs for kids of all ages to learn social skills, with plans for employment training to give them total independence as adults.

Taste of Winter Park to satiate appetites

Baterbys Art Gallery has opened its doors to the public to view one of the largest exhibitions of major works by world-renowned 20th century master, Pablo Picasso. Titled “Diary of a Master,” the exhibition showcases the entire 347 series, numerous signed etchings, aquatints and linocuts, and lithographs from his Verve suites. It also features multiple works on display from private collectors as well as local artists chosen as exhibitionists from the gallery’s call-to-artists competition.
