YOUR TOWN SPEAKER SERIES CONTINUES IN WINDERMERE The Windermere Library continues its Florida Talks speaker series with “Race & Change Across Cultures and Generations: Florida Stories.” The program will be presented from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 26, at Windermere Town Hall, 520 Main St. Dr. Kitty Oliver weaves music, media and storytelling into her event, drawing on an archive of more than 125 oral histories of people from various heritages. OCOEE HOLDING SHREDDING EVENT The Ocoee Police Department is hosting a document-shredding event from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at the station, 646 Ocoee Commerce Parkway, Ocoee. The shredding will be handled by Pro Shred Security, which protects against identity theft and fraud. The only items being accepted are papers, folders, file folders, staples and paper clips. The first box is free, and a donation of $5 per box is suggested up to five boxes. The event benefits the Ocoee Lions Club and the Woman’s Club of Ocoee.

HABITAT RESTORE SEEKS VOLUNTEERS The West Orange Habitat for Humanity ReStore is looking for passionate and committed people to be part of the ReStore volunteer team. These folks are critical in helping the store run smoothly. An informational orientation session will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, at the ReStore, 13369 W. Colonial Drive, Winter Garden, for those interested.
