CITY TO HOST EARTH DAY EVENT The city of Winter Park will host Earth Day/Arbor Day in the Park next month. This fun-filled event, presented by the city’s Sustainability Program and Keep Winter Park Beautiful, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, in Shady Park located adjacent to the Winter Park Community Center at 721 W. New England Ave. In celebration of Arbor Day, certified arborists from the city’s Urban Forestry Division will be available to answer questions and give away an assortment of onegallon containerized trees for city residents to plant at home.
