YOUR TOWN The Winter Garden Farmers Market is doing its part to protect the environment and now is limiting single-use plastics, such as Styrofoam, as well as plastic bags, cups, bowls, utensils and straws. The market will have designated bins to recycle aluminum cans, glass and plastic bottles. Paper and products made from plant-based materials that are 100% biodegradable will be used. The city of Winter Garden has moved toward plant-based bags at the dog waste stations at the market, too. Market attendees are asked to take their own shopping bags; a variety of reusable bags will be available for purchase, as well.
