The six candidates for Windermere Town Council discussed several hot-button issues pertaining to the town’s challenges during the Candidates Night Forum hosted Monday, Feb. 11, at Town Hall. The forum, moderated by West Orange Chamber of Commerce President Stina D’Uva, featured candidates Liz Andert, Mike Hargreaves, Bill Martini, Dina Pryor and incumbents Bob McKinley and Richard Montgomery, who shared their plans for the future of the town.

Healthy West Orange is presenting a 12-week interactive program designed to inspire folks to eat well, stay active and enjoy life. The Healthy West Orange +One takes place from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesdays, March 5 through May 28, at the Orlando Health Center for Health Improvement at the Orlando Health Emergency Room and Medical Pavilion — Horizon West, 17000 Porter Road, Winter Garden. The program focuses on making one positive change at a time and provides lessons on inactivity, nutrition and other barriers to improving personal health. Registration deadline is Friday, Feb. 22.
