Volunteers will roll out the red carpet for a starstudded evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, as First Baptist Church Windermere hosts the Night to Shine prom-night experience. Night to Shine, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, allows people ages 14 and older with special needs to enjoy an evening of royal treatment. Volunteers are needed. Call (407) 876-2234.
Proposed preschool triggers objections A proposed private 200-student preschool on Windermere Road sparked concern from residents.
Traffic concerns dominated discussion during an Orange County community meeting regarding a proposed preschool near the town of Windermere. The meeting was held Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Windermere Elementary School.
