OUR BRAND YOUR STORY

The marketing team is proud to present new items, but we need your help! Tell us what you would like to see hit the marketing portal in 2024 by emailing marketing@thetruckpeople.com. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Simply Put... WE Have Your Back
The coming of a new year is often associated with peaceful times with family and friends. However, all of us can be impacted directly or indirectly with the many stresses in our lives, and it’s great to know that help is available. WE want to remind everyone in our Worldwide Equipment family of two programs that can help us all.
Employee Assistance Program Employee Emergency Fund
The employee assistance program is free, confidential and available 24/7. Resources include:
• Family & Relationship Support
• Emotional Well-Being Support
• Financial Wellness Management
• Substance Abuse & Addiction Support
• Legal Assistance
• Physical Health Support
• Work & Career Advice
It starts with just a phone call. (800) 316-2796
The employee emergency fund is funded by generous employee donations each payday. This fund distributes money to employees who have experience significant financial hardships. These hardships include:
• Loss of residence due to flood or fire
• Significant medical bills beyond the scope of insurance coverage
• Personal tragedies prompting unplanned expenses.
• Other circumstances as deemed appropriate by senior management.
Local management may request donations from the fund. Requests are reviewed and approved by Scott Blevins. In 2023 WE distributed over $12k to individual employees for large variety of reasons.

UNIVERSITY
WE University is an introduction, not only to Sales, but the WE Culture that is meant to offer guidance and mentorship to Sales people new to Worldwide Equipment. There are three classes that each salesperson will be required to take within an eighteenmonth time line. The introduction class that is meant to cover all the basics to include Policy & Procedure, Sales Processes, Appraisals, and basic selling techniques and strategies that are geared to help build confidence and knowledge to be successful. Our goal is to train and educate our salespeople above and beyond basic product knowledge. WE want to ensure they are the best in the industry with promoting the entire dealership experience and how each department offers benefits to each increasing our enterprise value to our customers.

“WE University is an introduction to the WE Culture...”

WE Chattanooga body shop’s Willie McGlocklin’s daughter Anslee’s boyfriend Colt Sinor , is a two time cancer survivor who returned to Carson Newman this year to continue playing football. He was first diagnosed with cancer in 2021, but was able to beat it and played again during 2022. This past winter he was diagnoised a second time. He said the experience was like being slapped in the face when the cancer came back. He also said the first time he battled cancer with fear, but this time he had faith that he would be okay.

student SPOTLIGHT

Our WE “little”, Destiny started Pre-K this year! She enjoys every day learning new skills and sharing her enigmatic personality. Nothin is going to stop her from being heard, especially since she is the only girl in her class! Destiny also received her class Student of the Month Award for September! This award is given to students who exhibit kind, safe, and responsible behavior at school.

WE gathered for a Thanksgiving lunch and it was a day full of thankfulness and fellowship. WE celebrated with a lot of new faces, along with our blast from the past, Mr. Bobby Duke.
gone FISHIN’

WE celebrated the retirement of Bobby Duke, Br.36 Body shop manager 6/2/23. Bobby has been part of the body shop industry for many, many years with the last 9 years as our manager. Bobby plans on spending his time enjoying life with his family, friends, and lots of fishing. For us, this was a bittersweet occasion, but definitely well deserved. Bobby will surely be missed on an everyday occasion, but this is not Goodbye, only ‘til we meet again.... Family is for always.

Blessings and Good Morning! I just wanted to thank Gary in particular and all of you guys for taking care of me. I know I am a lot at times and order a lot and with everything else you guys do it can get hard to serve me the way you guys do on a daily basis. I understand this and still there is absolutely no delay and Gary is just wonderful to me and SEFL. Too often people go without thanksgiving praise to people and all vendors hear is the negative side of things but I am different. Thank you so much for the great service to SEFL! Thank you Gary! Don’t know what I would do without you! HE made it happen yesterday with a pressure sensor that was all that was wrong with an asset here and now that unit is pulling weight today instead of sitting. Thanks again!

“
My experience at worldwide equipment was very good the staff of; Jason, Derrick, Joe and John , they got me up and running just as they predicted even though I had to stay in a nearby hotel. My truck was about to derate and the saved me from a possible catastrophe while working the Monster Jam truck circuit. They also found potential problems that would have put me out of service, Thsnks again Guys I’ll share my experience with my crew at Starfreight.
-Geno MaddoxDAYTON, OH
I just want to let management know that I was at your shop yesterday with an emergency repair. I found myself with a bad fuel leak on my way back to Charlotte, NC. The guys at your shop are top notch they were very helpful and professional from the service writers to the mechanic. They had me fixed up and back on the road in no time! Great shop I will recommend them to associates as we travel that are quite a lot. Thanks again!
-Joe YannettaABINGDON, VA

These guys were amazing! I got a 3 hours to derate in Charlotte and made it down to Worldwide just before they closed. Ashley diagnosed the truck immediately to an after-treatment issue. Despite being backlogged, they were able to get me in the next morning. I owe these guys BIG time as I had a high valu urgent delivery load. While waiting the next morning, Adam in Sales had shown me a truck that was on the lot. Very close to purchasing that truck for the fleet as well. Adam was incredibly informed, overly helpful and a pleasure to do business with. This Worldwide was incredible and I will absolutely do business with them in the future. Thanks for everything you guys!

AND BLAINE SHOCKLEY BLAINE SHOCKLEY

I have been with Worldwide since April 2023
What are your job responsibilities?
My job responsibilities are to find new rental and lease customers and keep my fleet of trucks rented out.
What does your average work day look like?
My average workday consists of driving to new, current and previous customers to build and keep relationships strong so when a customer needs something they come to me first.
What’s your favorite part of the work day?
My favorite part of the workday is when I meet a new customer and they are interested in opening a new account with us and wants to get into one of our trucks.
Is there anything you do that people would be surprised about?
It would probably be that I have had a hole in 1 on a 375 yard par 4.
What’s the best word to describe how you work?
Efficiently.
How do you recharge outside of work?
I hang out with my two kids, play basketball and a lot of golf.
What does WE mean to you?
Worldwide means a lot to me. The company and the people that work here are all great, my managers especially! They care for the company and their employees and are always there for me. I love the position I am in because I am always out in the community meeting people and not stuck behind a desk.
