SCOTT BLEVINS COO

I hope this edition of “WE the People” finds you well. As WE begin a new year and a new decade, I have many thoughts and reflections of the past year and the past decade.

Mr. Dotson talks about the 86,400 seconds each of us has each day. That time to invest for a return of contentment, satisfaction, enjoyment, and success.

The people that succeed and excel in our industry are the few that have ambition, drive, and desire with the will power to develop themselves.

I would challenge you to consider and answer the following questions of yourself:

1.) Are you doing everything that you are truly capable of doing in your job for success? If not, what must you do over the next year to exceed your goals for success?

2.) Does your job give you more enjoyment than aggravation? If not, what must you change?

3.) Does your job provide the type of challenge you enjoy? If not, what must you change?

4.) Are you headed in the right direction for tomorrow’s opportunity? If not, what must you change?

If you take the time to find a quiet place and answer those questions, write down the answers because… writing it down makes it real.

In looking back at the close of 2019 and the closing of the decade, how much has changed in the past ten years?

Ten years ago, WE did not have a single location in South Carolina. Today WE have four stores. Ten years ago, WE did not have the International brand or the IC Bus product. Ten years ago, WE did not have a store in Louisa, KY, Crossville, TN, or Bean Station, TN. Ten years ago, WE did not have an automotive dealership. Wow… what a difference ten years makes. What does the next ten years hold in store?

What states will WE grow to next?

What locations will WE add?

What new products will WE have?

How will our business change?

I don’t know the answers to all of those questions. What I do know is that WE will continue to grow.

Grow our people, grow our products, grow our business by helping our customers be more successful.

The new year and the new decade do promise to bring more. More excitement. More products. More opportunity. More growth. More for all of us.

WORLDWIDE EQUIPMENT, INC. 4

As Mr. Blevins says in his State of the Union, writing things down makes them real. Fun fact – if you visualize doing something, it tricks your brain into thinking it’s actually doing it. Writing goals down does the same thing!

Take this space to write down your goals for this year and help yourself achieve them. You can even cut this page from the magazine and hang it somewhere where it will be a reminder to you each day.

By the People,

WE asked you to submit to us your success stories, events, and family updates, and your response was astounding! See what the rest of your WE family has been up to.

SEE YOU AROUND, LACEY

Congratulations and best wishes to Lacey Gassaway, who retired on September 30th, 2019. His Columbia WE family organized a cookout for him on September 27th. Enjoy your retirement, Lacey!
