DLF Golf and Country Club The DLF Golf and Country Club, located in DLF5 in Gurgaon, was opened in 1999, with the first Arnold Palmer Signature course in the country. The club featured many other firsts – the first course to offer Night Golf and the first professional Golf Academy in the country were some of them. The club offers something for the entire family – tennis, squash, swimming, basketball, and a gymnasium.

The parkland style course soon grew to host some of the most coveted golf tournaments in the region. For the first time, the Johnnie Walker Classic, Asia’s premier event, was held in India at the DLF Golf & Country Club and was a resounding success. The Arnold Palmer Course staged six editions of the Women’s Indian Open (Ladies European tour - 2007-12), three editions of the Avantha Masters (European Tour 2010–12), the Indian Open (Asian Tour – 2009), and many other events of notable repute.

The Golf Academy grew to have the largest and the most successful junior program in the country and was also

instrumental in introducing a big number of newcomers to the game.

The Gary Player 18-hole Signature Course opened its first 9-holes in October 2013 and soon after opened the second 9-holes with the successful staging of the Women’s Indian Open for the seventh time. Not to forget, the Gary Player course also attracted the Hero Men’s Indian Open which was then held four times at the Club.

Widely recognized as the world’s most successful golf course architectural firm, Gary Player Design is renowned for its select and ecological approach to design. DLF took a lead in creating not only an excellent golf facility, but also a township around golf, which has become a model to follow across the country.

The course is a scenic parkland design with dramatic landscape enhanced by ambient lighting.

The club also upgraded its facilities with the opening of a new golfer’s Pavilion in early 2015 equipped with new lockers, a restaurant and a bar. A well-stocked pro shop caters to all needs of a golfer.

The Academy too underwent major upgradation during the same time and opened its Performance Centre, a stateof-the-art training facility at par with

the best in the world. To cater to all food cravings, form sweet to savoury, we have the Café Under Par at the DLF Golf Academy.

The Gary Player Course is an 18-hole, Par-72 course measuring 7654 yards from the Gold tees. This signature design was fully opened in October 2015 and is the second course at the DLF Golf and Country Club. The course has two large lakes, big land forms, large undulating greens and unique style bunkering amongst its various features. The front nine offers a par-3 with an island green while the closing holes are built around a quarry and a large lake with massive rock formations. Strategy is the key to successfully negotiating the course, which can play very different depending on the tees you play from. Golfers can choose to play from six different tees – Gold, Black, Blue, White, Red and Yellow.

The Gary Player course has successfully hosted the Hero Women’s Indian Open six times, a Ladies European Tour event, amongst various other corporate golf events.

The Arnold Palmer course was the first in the country to offer Night Golf.

The brightly lit fairways and greens give the golfers a chance to play late

into the summer evenings, an escape from the high temperatures of the day.

Golfers can tee off as late as 6:00 pm for 9-holes. The club uses the world’s best technology to ensure that the experience is an unforgettable one for its members. The light poles are positioned to produce mesmerizing scenery without creating shadows, or interfering with the ball trajectory.

Companies like American Express, Microsoft, Airtel, BMW amongst others have supported Night Golf at the club for many years. More than two decades after it was introduced, Night Golf remains a popular activity for the members.

The Pavilion at the DLF Golf and Country Club is an exclusive heaven for golfers. It consist of a Bar, a MultiCuisine restaurant and Locker-Rooms for Men & Ladies. It is the creation of the master architect Hafeez Contractor with the interiors designed by Z Design Group , Colorado . The architectural style brings out the 30,000 sq ft teak sandstone structure magnificently in the middle of an 18 – Hole Championship Course designed by Gary Player and a 9-Hole floodlit Arnold Parmer Course. It opened for service in 2015.

The 3 sided glass walls and deep verandahs provide a spectacular view of the artfully carved fairways and bunkers of the Gary Player course. It’s a place for members to enjoy friends and family.

The world class locker area is beautifully and artistically designed. The 160 men’s wooden lockers with plaid type carpets and 60 pale cream lockers for Ladies are truly one of its kind in the world.

It offers the unique amenity of a spa to rejuvenate the body and mind. The Restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience by offering an array of choices from its multi cuisine menu that will tempt and indulge the members and their family.
