Following the arrival and consolidation of Turkish dramas in Latin America more than a decade ago, the trend, once labeled as “fleeting” by many, also caught the attention of Netflix, which con tinues to keep a close eye on titles coming out of the region.
In 2017, Netflix announced its first original Turkish production, The Protector, starring Çağatay Ulusoy. After its premiere a year later, the series achieved significant viewership in Turkey and internationally, earning renewals for second and third seasons.
A few months ago, the streamer reaffirmed its commitment to Turkish production by announcing 12 new titles for 2025 and the return of two series.
Given Turkish content’s continued global relevance, TV Latina, with World Screen, has prepared this second edition of the Turkish TV Festival. It returns with the most important executives from the local media industry, along with the most widely recognized talents among global audiences. They include Inter Medya’s Beatriz Cea Okan, TRT’s Mustafa Ilbeyli, Calinos Entertainment’s Goryana Vasileva, MISTCO’s Aysegul Tuzun Yildirim, Kanal D International’s Duda Perman, ATV’s Müge Akar, OGM UNIVERSE’s Ekin Koyuncu, Eccho Rights’ Handan Özkubat, Madd Entertainment’s Özlem Özsümbül, Tims Group’s Selin Arat and Global Agency’s Iván Sánchez, as well as Heartstrings’ Ergül Miray Şahin and Ali Yağız Durmuş, The Family Burden’s Eylül Tumbar, 6 of Us’ Kaan Miraç Sezen and Valley of Hearts’ Leyla Tanlar, Burak Tozkoparan, Deniz Karabaş, Derin İnce and Gözde Cığacı.
