from WMO Resources
Macadamias are a unique, untapped wholefood. Growing a high-yield, quality crop requires the highest of standards of horticultural practice, an expert knowledge of macadamia plantation farming, and a healthy degree of support from Mother Nature. By 2030, the industry is forecasting global supply will reach up to 660,000 metric tonnes.
Macadamia production is much less concentrated compared to other nuts. The top two nut producing countries have a significantly higher percentage of global nut supply. Macadamias have many producing origins – the top two origins only accounted for 50% of nut production globally.
