GRAFF DIAMONDS Haute couture. Luxury homeware. Iconic luxury retailer Harrods has long been a lavish shopper's paradise for those with discerning taste. Now those with a taste for exquisite jewels can make a beeline for Harrods’ iconic Knightsbridge department store on Brompton Road, where the boutique façade of its Fine Jewellery Room has been newly punctuated with the distinctive icon motif of Graff Diamonds.

Step into the space, and you'll see an elaborate Bohemia Crystal chandelier above you with hundreds of hand-blown glass spheres in gold, bronze and silver notes suspending from the ceiling, lighting up the entire boutique and its fine display of jewellery pieces.

Brushed gold and glass showcases — displaying opulent diamonds and gemstones — line the boutique store walls, clad with bedazzlingly golden dichroic glass mirrors. Richly toned American walnut paneled walls and a monochrome-hued floor of Cipolino, Pentelikon and Verde Assoluto marble add a fine sheen to the store interiors.

This is Graff Diamonds' gorgeously fied expanded store — all 1242 sq  of it — at Harrods. Helmed by Graff’s in-house Monaco-based interior design team, the materials for the store were sourced from all across the world.

world luxury | DAILY | Issue 24 |

As Graff chief executive officer Francois Graff comments of the Harrods store that first launched last year before its current expanded location, “The significantly expanded store will enable our clientele to further experience the exemplary crasmanship incorporated into our exceptional jewels and innovative timepieces from Graff Luxury Watches."

With over five decades at the height of the luxury jewellery industry, the 1960-founded diamond brand remains as a family business. Graff Diamonds has reputedly handled more diamonds of rarity and beauty than any other jeweller in the world.

Notably, four of the five largest diamonds to be uncovered in this century were cut and polished by it. In the last decade, it has also expanded to include a luxury watch business since 2008 with patented diamond seings.

In 2016, the brand expansion will see Graff's global network span across 55 stores. At Harrods, two dedicated VIP rooms will also be introduced, says Harrods fashion director Helen David. LUXURY REDEFINED

DELAMAIN A very limited and sought-aer cognac from the house of Delamain. A blend of their finest old Grande Champagne Cognacs presented in a Baccarat decanter itself sat inside a fan-shaped gi box styled aer an old school camera's bellows. The New and extremely rare Cognac from Delamain each one individually numbered with only 500 pieces available worldwide presented ina Baccarat decanter What makes this Cognac extraordinary is the blend of extremely old eaux-de-vie that has been nurtured in the famous demi-johns in the Delamain cellars. These glass vessels protect the ancient spirit that has matured into a veritable treasure. Such an elixir traces the history of Delamain and represents a living archive of the house.

Whilst the labels indicating the grand age of the Cognacs have faded, the perfect seal of each demijohn has prevented any evaporation. These treasures from the last century, inestimable and ultra rare should only be seen on exceptional occasions. 'Le Voyage de Delamain' invites you to discover the cra of another epoque.

This Cognac remains in homage to the founder James Delamain, who as a young man returned to France over a century aer his family had fled to Ireland. The descendants of James Delamain are still in aendance today, eager to discover the grand eauxde-vie preserved by their ancestors. The blend of cognacs reveals a host of subtle sensations: all the perfumes of Russian leather, the musky aroma of the tropics, the heady scent of tobacco from the Americas, of coffee from Africa heralding the spicy hints of the Far East and finally the bouquet of grapes from the hillsides of the Grande Champagne. 'Le Voyage de Delamain' is the heart of the jewel, housed in a magnificent Baccarat decanter with the purest curves and lines and surrounded by an exquisite leather casket evoking the traditional bellows used for luggage in times gone by. POWER AND CONTRASTS FOR A LEGEND IN MOVEMENT Like a burning fire born of an alliance between gold and titanium, the legendary Golden Bridge Automatic from Corum appears in a whole new light. Contrasts, transparency and an exceptional mechanism combine in this new interpretation of an iconic contemporary Haute Horlogerie model. Beating steadily at its heart is the spectacular and exclusive Corum CO313 caliber with its linear oscillating weight, set off to its best advantage by the metallized sapphire dial. Or what happens when history meets the future. In 1980, a time when conformism and caution were all too prevalent, Corum caused a major ripple in watch industry waters by presenting its Golden Bridge baguee movement. This incredible mechanical caliber defying the laws of horological kinetics had what it takes to go down in history. It did just that and ever since, not content with merely turning heads, it has constantly evolved, proving an ever greater source of fascination in its tourbillon version – and in 2011 with a spectacular automatic development featuring a linear oscillating weight.

| 12 |

Riding the same innovative momentum that le an indelible imprint on watchmaking almost 35 years ago, Corum now presents a new interpretation of its legendary Golden Bridge.

Combining the gold of a fabled movement with the titanium of a sleek, sophisticated case, the new Golden Bridge Automatic demonstrates the wide range of skills cultivated by Corum. From the mechanical complexity of its exceptional movement to the powerful design of a case in titanium grade 5 with black DLC treatment, the new Golden Bridge is a comprehensive expression of its multiple fields of competence. The new Golden Bridge Automatic in titanium – clad in a contrasting black color that admirably highlights the gold movement – plays the alchemist with the theme of transparency by revealing a subtle architecture. From this 360° transparency when the watch is not worn, it turns opaque once secured to the wrist, which is duly hidden from sight in order to enhance the magic of an exclusive linear mechanism. The secret of this fascinating orchestration lies in a striated metalized decoration on the sapphire crystal case back. This stunningly transparent architecture creates a play on perspectives, alternating hiding or revealing the exterior elements of the watch. Made of gold like the movement itself, the hourmarkers applied on the sapphire dial accentuate the overall depth effect, while the openworked hands lend a light, airy touch.

Beating at the heart of this fascinating set of optical effects is Corum’s exclusive CO313 caliber, an automatic linear-winding baguee movement. Equipped with a platinum linear oscillating weight along with a slipping spring mechanism, this mechanical masterpiece beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and enjoys a 40hour power reserve. The 194-part movement also features a variable-inertia balance – a guarantee of long-term high precision – and a miniaturized barrel designed to avoid disrupting the resolutely vertical nature of this model. The mainplate and bridges are in 18K red gold, adorned with a finely hand-craed vertical guilloché motif providing a delightful visual accompaniment for the linear motion of the oscillating weight. Reflecting a confident, self-assured nature, the new Corum Golden Bridge Automatic comes on a black crocodile strap fied with a titanium pin buckle bearing the Corum key, and is water-resistant to 30 meters. You sele on a stool, place your Mojito on the counter in front of you, and stare out at a view of… nothing much. Where is Hong Kong? The city that takes your breath away with its architectural glamour from the ground is now so far beneath you, from the 118th floor, that it almost loses impact; I was reminded of looking at Paris from a helicopter once, and pondering that human achievement needs to be appreciated at the scale it was created on.

To mark its glorious first centenary, Maserati has produced a car like no other: a masterpiece whose every last detail expresses the legend that is the Marque of the Trident. The GranTurismo MC Stradale Centennial Edition is unrivalled in its power, performance and crasmanship. This is Maserati passion and innovation at its best, sporting all the stunning lines that have made the brand an international design icon since it first sped onto the scene in 1914.

Elegant and urbanite with an aggressive sporty edge, the GranTurismo MC Stradale Centennial Edition is a bold tribute to one hundred years of Maserati. The illustrious past of the House of the Trident is clearly present in the genetics of the model, yet this GranTurismo also paves the way for future generations.

STILL WATERS RUN DEEP Despite its traditional GranTurismo silhouee, this centennial edition stands apart from its forbears. The new Rosso Magma colour was designed to achieve the appearance of motion, even when the car is stationary. Applied in three coats, the shade varies subtly depending on the light to reveal deep undertones of purple and blue: perfection at 0km/h. The alternative launch shade, Blu Inchiostro, represents a stunning visual reference to both Maserati’s home city of Bologna and its iconic oval emblem. Five further paintwork colours are also available, ensuring a truly personalised experience for every driver. AN EYE FOR DETAIL The centennial edition’s stunning selection of eyecatching exterior finishes is the perfect complement to the spirit of the model. The pearlescent red of the paintwork is partnered with an accent of colour on the large callipers of

| 26 |

the carbon ceramic brakes, visible behind the spokes of the MC Design wheels. This shade is offset by sleek black carbon fibre detailing on the rear spoiler, door handles and door mirror casings. Lastly, the unique Maserati Centennial logo proudly emblazoned on the hubcaps pays one last homage to one hundred years of innovative design. BEAUTY ON THE INSIDE The interior of the GranTurismo MC Stradale Centennial Edition rivals the exterior’s statement aesthetic. Visually striking accent panels on the headrests, armrests and steering wheel create a look that is as powerful as it is elegant. The sporty appearance of the interior is enhanced by carbon fibre inserts on the dashboard and seat surrounds, while the celebratory Maserati Centennial logo takes pride of place on the kick plate.

A SPORTSMAN AT HEART The GranTurismo MC Stradale Maserati Centennial Special Edition is powered by the 460 HP, 4.7 litre V8 that first appeared in the GranTurismo Sport, combined with a robotised, 6speed MC Race Shi gearbox that guarantees superb performance and a top speed of 303 km/h. This highly innovative engine is designed to adapt to the driving environment, emiing a discreet purr in an urban seing and powerful roar on the open road. A BESPOKE INTERIOR The headrests of this exclusive edition display an embroidered Trident as a visual reference to the iconic logo. Eye-catching features also include contrasting stitching on the dashboard and central tunnel, along with the Maserati Centennial logo that takes pride of place on the kick plate. Even the carpets have not been overlooked: their new coloured borders reflect the accent colour used elsewhere in the interior.

MAKING AN IMPRESSION As well as Rosso Magma, three more triple-coat colours have been created to celebrate Maserati’s centenary, each one matched to specific interiors: Blu Inchiostro, Grigio Pietra (with mica providing an interesting metallic effect) and Bianco Birdcage. Nero Carbonio, Bianco Eldorado and Grigio Granito then complete the choice of colours. models/granturismo/granturismo-mc-stradalecentennial-edition.html LUXURY REDEFINED

Presidential Villa This century old neoclassical Eliopoulos Mansion, originally a captain’s house, was designed by celebrated Greek decorator Aggelos Aggelopoulos. Incorporating the customary color combination of white and turquoise, he has given the villa an authentic, modern feel that reflects the culture that 19th Century ship owners— arriving from travels abroad—brought to Santorini. Outdoors, the exceptional villa grounds boast 200-square-meters of private patios and verandas. A heated hydro-massage pool is positioned on the patio and an open-air Jacuzzi resides in the courtyard. Marvel at the surrounding village, cerulean sea, and emerald vineyard views while idling on poolside chaise lounges or couches in the additional outdoor seating area.

Location Santorini—also known as Thira—is renowned as the most beautiful of Greece’s 56 Cycladic Islands. Located 200 kilometers southeast of the mainland, the island covers 96-square-kilometers and aracts international tourists seeking its volcanic black-sandy beaches, sugar-cube Cycladic buildings, twisting stone alleyways with gregarious nightlife, blue-domed churches, and azure sea.

Santorini’s dramatic beauty was formed by a massive volcanic eruption that took place over three and a half thousand years ago around 16451600 BC. Rumors abound that this eruption was the demise of the legendary lost city of Atlantis. Lost city or not, Santorini is steeped in rich history, and Vedema Resort has the advantage of being located near the airport and the port of Athinios—convenient to all area aractions. Features When Antonis Elliopoulos founded Vedema Resort, his aim was to build a first-class resort ideally situated in the heart of stunning Santorini. These premier principles are reflected today in the exceptional service provided by our Luxury Collection Concierge and 24-hour Front Desk, onhand at all times to arrange on-site wine tasting, international newspaper delivery service NewspaperDirect, luggage transport service Luggage Liaison, and much more.
