Outdoor Research Lucent Heated

With built in AltiHeat, these rechargeable baery-powered heated gloves will make you feel like you're in Majorca (well, your hands, at least). Gore-tex keeps everything waterproof, while EnduraLo adds warmth and insulation.

Garmin Fenix 3

Boasting a classy European look, part of this helmet is constructed from actual oiled bamboo combined with a tough and protective polycarbonate middle. It definitely stands out from the crowd, which can oen be tough on a crowded slope.

The Garmin Fenix 3 is a brilliant allrounder. It’s currently residing in our best GPS running watch list, but it also makes a stab at tracking other sports, including cross country skiing, downhill skiing, and snowboarding. The Fenix 3 can record your speed, distance, vertical drop, as well as using sensors to tell you the temperature, air pressure and altitude.

The Lily Camera

The Lily Camera is the world's first throw-and-shoot camera. All you have to do is throw it in the air to start shooting. It flies itself and uses GPS and computer vision to follow you around. The Lily Camera is waterproof, ultra-compact, and shoots HD pictures and videos," reads Lily's description. The Lily Camera only comes with about 20 minutes of flight time—and no, you can't swap its baery, as that would ruin the device's waterproofing. It also doesn't use a physical gimbal to keep your shots steady; instead, the Lily Camera does it digitally. The camera itself shoots video in 1080p at 60 frames per second or 720p at 120 frames per second, and it can also shoot 12-megapixel still shots. These all get dumped onto an included 4GB micro SD card, but you can also use your own if you happen to have a bigger one.

Unless you're really trucking down a mountain on a board or some skis, odds are good that the Lily Camera will be able to keep up with whatever you're doing. It can fly around 25 miles per hour anywhere from five feet to 100 feet away from the person it's following. It can also hit a maximum altitude of 50 feet in the air. However, it can only follow one person at a time, so this isn't the device you'll want to use if you're trying to get great shots of your friends, too. No setup required. Just throw Lily in the air to start a new video. It's that simple. Lily Flies Itself. No controller required. Focus on your activity while Lily flies itself to capture your adventures. In 1450 began the heyday of mining in Kitzbühel, but not until 16th Century silver was found in Kitzbühel. The citys landscape is a consequence of that wealth. Around 1850 the summer tourism started to build up in Kitzbühel and 1875 with the construction of the railroad brought the rise to international tourism. 1893 Franz Reisch became the first man to ski down from the Kitzbühel Horn, according to documents 1894/95 the first ski race was held in Kitzbühel.

Conquest 1/100th St. Moritz Longines, timekeeper for sporting performances since 1878, is launching a new line of watches that have been specially created for sports which require high precision timing. The Conquest 1/100th series responds to the needs of athletes, professionals and sports fans, besides many others, since it measures multiple intermediary times and has an intuitive analogue display that shows the time to one hundredth of a second using a separate hand. All of this is possible thanks to a latest generation movement. Longines is now the Official Watch of the Alpine town of St. Moritz, which is renowned worldwide as the epitome of elegance, a value dear to the Swiss watch brand. The spectacular ski resort hosts FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and World Cup stages all timed by Longines. It is also avenue for stylish equestrian events, such as the Longines CSI St. Moritz or the Night Turf St. Moritz and its Longines ShowSprint Race. To celebrate this new partnership, the winged hourglass brand is launching an exclusive edition created especially for St. Moritz: the Conquest 1/100th St. Moritz. Touches of yellow and blue on the hands, the dial or the flange subtly hint at the iconic logo of St. Moritz, which is also engraved on the case back. The demands required for Longines to reach such an extreme level of precision have led to the development of a new quartz movement, the L440, developed exclusively for Longines by the manufacture ETA. This new model includes a microcontroller with a flash memory that allows the watch to be reset instantly and allows intermediary times to be recorded. With a diameter of 41 mm, this steel model has a silver face that displays hours, minutes, small seconds at 6 o'clock, the date and other chronographic functions: a central seconds hand, a 30-minute stopwatch at 2 o'clock and a 12-hour stopwatch at 10 o'clock. The hand in yellow displays time to one hundredth of a second and is the watch's crowning glory at the centre. The model is also fied with a steel bracelet and a buerfly clasp.!/universe/news/ conquest-1-100th-st--moritz

Y LODGE & SPA here’s more than one resort on the shores of Argentina’s Lake Nahuel Huapi, and maybe, given the extraordinary seing, a certain humility is called for on the part of the local hotels. Still, we’d say the name of Charming Luxury Lodge & Private

Spa rather undersells the product. Make no mistake, this intimate lile compound certainly is charming, but with these views, in this idyllic location, “sublime” might not be too strong a word. LUXURY REDEFINED

You’re just a few miles outside of Bariloche proper, but distant enough for it to feel like a proper wilderness escape. And privacy is the order of the day in the accommodations — at very least you’ll have a suite with a kitchenee, and possibly an apartment with a wood-burning stove or a residence with a full kitchen and dining room. In fact maybe Comfortable Luxury Lodge would be closer to the mark. There’s a spa, if you’re up for a treatment, but the in-room amenities are scarcely less comfort-oriented.

The most basic suites have underfloor heating and jacuzzis overlooking the lake, and everyone else gets luxe bathrooms with Finnish and Scoish showers — perhaps that last one goes more in the “bracing” column, but the focus is decidedly on physical wellness. And you’ll need it — whether you’re spending your days on the lake, in the hills, hiking or biking the local trails, or even on the ski slopes, you’ll want somewhere cozy to retire at day’s end.
