AMAZING NEWS! WinC Community Raises $25,000 to Activate Endowment Almost exactly one year since Laurie and Sam kicked off WinC’s endowment fund with a $25,000 bequest, our alumni community has raised an additional $25,000! This was the amount needed to activate the endowment and unlock another $25,000 bequest from Laurie and Sam. Stay tuned! Growing Global Presence In response to growing demand, WinC piloted dialogues in four new international locations during the past academic year. As a result, we are now operating at thirteen different sites in nine partner countries. We are thrilled to offer opportunities for meaningful global engagement to Penn State students and to students from around the world. Pictured to the right are four of our dedicated coordinators, who helped make these new partnerships possible.

A True Cross-Cultural Exchange in Seoul, South Korea

In May, students from Penn State flew to Konkuk University in Seoul, South Korea to participate in a cross-cultural immersion study program, “Sociology and Culture in Korea,” led by Professors Sam Richards, Ben Park, and Laurie Mulvey. Students from both universities reported that participating in dialogues together was incredibly valuable, allowing for them to make deeper connections and gain a greater understanding of each others’ cultural landscapes.
